I'm going to try classic trials on my new to me TY250. How wide is too wide? I just got a great pair from a friend that are 34.75" wide. that seems pretty wide, but, they have a shape I like. I can't cut them down much because of the narrow grip area. Thanks for your thoughts, I'm brand new to this.

Hello I've recently bought this Tiger Cub built by Fred Hardy; I have his hand written notes on the various mods he had built into it. I believe that Fred sold the bike to Phil Clarkson of Leyland some time ago. Does anyone recognise the bike? Will the modifications mean that it would have to enter as a "Special" in Pre 65 club trials? Thanks Magnus

Greetings, I have owned Bultacos for over 40 years. Still have my M85 Alpina bought new in the fall of 1972. Rode it in enduros and trials for several years, gave it to a friend for his son's "yard bike", retrieved it, restored it in 1996 and it now resides in the house. Recently I came upon a Sammy Miller High Boy with M151 running gear. These are pretty rare in the US and I am in the process of recommisioning it. It runs, supposedly has a rebuilt motor, but needs tidying. I'm have a heck of a time finding information it. Is there any literature on these bikes? One thing I'd like to find is a couple of the original "Sammy Miller Product" decals, these were the small,…

Help needed to identify Villiers engined frame ,thought it might be Cheetah but after asking some Cheetah owners we don't think it is . Main frame looks similar but swinging arm and wheel adjuster are completely different , Any help would greatly appreciated in trying to identify what it is

Afternoon all During a day of riding on a family friends farm, we all tried to identify a bike which didn't have any clear branding on either frame or engine. All i've got is the description, no photographs as we we're all in the gear, sorry. A schoolboy sized bike, with a racing/mallard green and yellow striped single piece seat and fuel tank (metal fuel tank under fiberglass). Hello, the attached picture is of an Enfield Starmaker i am trying to identify the forks. I need some for the Johnny Britain works 1964 ISDT bike that Hitchcocks motorcycles have acquired. As far as we know they were made by Reynolds, most likely built by Ken Sprayson for the ISDT bike. He made some similar ones for Geoff Dukes Norton so few questions any idea where I can get a set ? we’re they used on any other trials/scrambles bikes ? any idea who could make a pair ? thanks Richard

Howdo guys. I am trying to identify the make of a trials frame I have bought off Ebay some time ago. I bought it as a "Cotton Trials" but after searching thro loads of images of Cottons I cannot find anything that matches it. The frame is brazed at the joints, the engine cradle takes a 9e/32a Villiers and looks original apart from the footrests and back brake pedal. Also can you tell me what type forks these are Any help you can give will be appreciated. A couple of years ago I bought an old Fantic 200. It had been stored in a sheed for 10 years or more. Now the time has finally come for us to start on the Fantic 200 project – so it will be ready to next years Classic seson. When we picked up the bike, it was fitted with Marzocchi dampers (see picture). I do not know the model, and can not find any information regarding it - Trial related that is. Since it is not original damper, I assume that it is a (better) damper than stock. Now the question is just whether to renovate them, or buy a new set. I need the chrome front pipe for a Bultaco Sherpa 49 - the original horizontal type not the kit version as fitted to type 80 for the downward pointing silencer. There are none available in the UK at the moment, I've tried the US with Hugh's, Hogans and a couple of others but no luck. I've found a website in Spain for Romeromoto and they have them but I can't speak Spanish and his English is not too good - communications have failed after a couple of e-mails.... Hello I am a new member who has just obtained a garage full of Greeves parts from my father (who has decided, he's never going to get the bikes built!) He collected over many years and always bought stuff that hadn't been hacked about. There are the makings of at leasts three bikes (two Scottish trials and one Hawkstone Scrambler with banana forks). When I say makings, I mean 2 complete Villiers engines, plenty of parts to make a third, tanks, frame parts etc... Missing parts are things like exhausts, rims, mudguards and control gear... all stuff that should be available new.
