hi there im currently restoring an ITALJET T100 , cant find parts anywere on the web , especially a piston and ring set as thats the last major item i need to finish the bike any advise / contacts would be much appreciated !!! cheers james

Hi Guys I have honda cg125 engine and friend got bantam frame , there is petrol tank within reach as well .. jap trials wheel with me as well , no forks or front wheel do you think i can build similar bike under 500 Euro .. i can buy bantam engine when budget allows .. bantam easy on pocket ? ideas welcome .. not sure if i go down that path , im not lathe-man , partial spanner man .. got good friend to help Thanks

This is a bit of a long shot; I wondered if any one remembers J O Wallis from Hereford, who was the first owner of my Norton 500T in 1952. The bike was supplied by the dealer Ashcroft of Thornbury who may have been trials bike specialists; does anyone remember them? I hope that I put this in the correct place. Rod

Hi Folks We, I and some other guy, are interested in finding out exactly what these parts are. The James (1955) parts list, see image, lists parts just for the K7C trials bike. We need to know what the dimensions of the extra bits are? Does anyone have these bits for us to measure, or be sent the dimensions. Chiefly the extra holes in Part 36, the dims for the damper rod and what is the difference for part 35, from the normal part (5)

Hello All, I've recently acquired a James Cotswold Scrambler which was raced in Southern California in the late 50's. The engine is a 7e Villiers unit and is missing most of the clutch side components. I was wondering what the best options are for a clutch in a trials conversion. I have seen the 9E multi plate used with slight modification and have even heard of a modern alternative. I look forward to your thoughts. Cheers, Ben

You may have seen at the Malvern show a really fantastic Mick Andrews replica James frame on Alan Whitton's stand. I have been thinking of building a really trick James, possibly inspired by the one in the Classic Dirt Bike mag and thought that this frame would be the right place to start. Having spoken to Alan it appears that ther are currently only 2 of these in existance at the moment, Mick's own one and the one that Alan is building for himself. They are made from 17guage T45 and there have been a few mods including slight adjustments for the steering geometry as required my Mick. All in all this has to be one of the best James frames around with superbly finish…

Good morning, I have just acquired a trials bike which has a Jim Lee frame fitted with a T100a engine.Can anyone help me with information about the frame the number is JL 25 and I believe the forks are Norton road holders but I cannot identify the wheels.Any help would be most appreciated David

Its with great sadness I have to report that John sadly passed away on Sunday following a stroke the previous day. A great supporter of trials in the EASTERN centre and classic trials up and down the country and sometimes across the channel.. A good friend always on the end of the phone to offer advice and will be sadly missed, with always an opinion on what ever subject........not only trials. RIP

Hi all, im new here and new to trials! i did join here a while ago but never bought a bike until now. Anyway, i have just got a very good condition for age fantic k-roo 212cc and ill try and get some pics up. Please can anyone give me any pointers as to what to check, look out for, advice topics elsewhere and more importantly a service manual. I have a wiring diagram and thats it. I dont think i have bought a duffer anyway. It came from a mechanic and the bike is not tampered with and the guy bought it because it was untouched but doesnt use it. In the 1980s I used to muck about on trials bikes such as a Moto Gori 250, never done comps just enjoyed trying to become better at using the bike. so now I want to buy a trials bike for much the same reasons and maybe in some distant future have a go at an easy beginners event but I want to enjoy taking time to get used to any machine I buy. Hi there,I'm having trouble getting my KT 250 to run properly.It sounds when revved like it's gassed up and dosn't rev cleanly. I have had the crank seals replaced,had the carb overhauled by Motocarb Liverpool,had the timing checked,changed the spark plug,renewed the air filter (runs no different with filter in/out and checked the exhaust for blockage.There is plenty of compression but going to do a proper check tomorrow,and it starts up fine.I am running on pre mix at 50:1 using castrol 747 2 stroke oil I don't know what to look at next.Any tips, pointers ,ideas etc would be greatly appreciated as I'm dying to get out on her after buying and bringing her over from USA.…
