Hi, Help is needed. Is there in the market belt drive kit for Bsa unit singles ? The ratio should be 18 teeth engine sprocket and 52 teeth clutch sprocket ( as it is for trial in the chain version). I have found belt drive kits, which ratio is 28t/52t, but it is not suitable for trial. Would appreciate much of some info. Is there some shop, which can make these. Best regards Restomoto

Has anyone managed to fit a belt drive primary to an AJS M16? I'm looking at trying to fit a Bob Newby product but not sure that the width of the cover is large enough to take the belt. Does anyone know where I might get a slightly wider cover? Are there any other products out there for this conversion to the M16? Thanks

  3. Hi Guy's. I recon this is the best action classic photo that I have seen for a long time.

  6. Do any of you boffins know what is the best exhaust system for a 32A Villiers trials engine and where to get one? Is a true silencer better than an expansion box? What sort of packing is best? Does length matter!!!?? Thanks in anticipation.

I run my shocks with the body on the bottom..the non-sexy orientation....with the decals the right way up. Quite often someone will comment that this is incorrect...had it today at the Dabbers from my mate. He told me that his damping went off after a year, but by turning them upside down they had a new lease of life....but anyone in the Anglian area whom knows the rider of a much much modified white tanked red framed TY175, will also know he maybe tight as a ducks chuff but does know his stuff. So I googled the Betor website and according to their bumpf I'm correct. That said as the gas part is just a pressurised bladder over the oil to stop it foaming. I…

While I recently stayed in a small hamlet in Staffordshire , I had the pleasure to meet Maurice Arden , it wasn't long before the conversation came round to motorcycles, me being a young 54 yr old and only recently started riding trials , was amazed at Maurice's knowledge of trials in the 50s to present date , but his heart was with the classics . When the conversation came round to the attire of the modern trials outfits Maurice surprised me again telling me off the boots he used to produce , the Big John super cross , the Fenman dual purpose enduro and the Supertrack model , which he supplied the British trials team with Boots and Gloves for 14 yrs . Maurice informed m…

Does anyone know if there is a database or will records have been kept of either a bikes registration number or frame number of it's competition entry history? I have a 1958 Cub which I inherited from my dad, I believe it may have been ridden in the Travers and Scottish.

I want to build a classic trials bike. I am also looking to build it from the frame up. I know this is the expensive option in the long run, but I dont have much time because of my work and I just want to add to it as and when. I have seen two frames with swinging arms on a well know auction site. One a Bantam D14 and the other a Yam TY250. I prefer the larger engine as I am a large framed guy as I am thinking the bantam engine may struggle. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks

  19. I thought that maybe some of you would like to have a look to some of the new preparations seen on the first round of the Spanish Classic Championship last 2 March in Mallorca Island. The trial was fantastic and some of the preparations where spectacular.

I wonder if you could help me resolve a problem with Bill Beveridge I contacted him in March as regards his 4 plate Clutch Conversion Uses standard drum and hub. No slipping and lighter action. For Triumph Tiger Cub.http://www.trialscub...sion/4556577547 We operate a service exchange system on your existing friction plates, send us 3 good condition surflex plates, we will machine to thickness and supply the 4th friction plate and 4 steel plates - £70 plus postage. It was easier for me to get 3 Surflex clutch plates from Greystones and arrange for them to send to Bill. As I now live New Zealand I have since had the last email 19.04.12 Yes but I needed 4? Regards Bill…
