Reet, you're all gonna be fed up of me 'cos I've just bought a Rev-3 and as any regulars of the GasGas forum will tell you, I ask some dumb-ass questions. It's an extremely clean, little-used 2003 270 - so little used in fact that the engine's still slightly "tight" and it's closest that I'm going to get to a new bike in the forseeable future so I'm as happy as <insert reference to something very happy>. I'd like to get hold of a manual, if such a thing exists. Not because the bike needs any work at the moment but I always like to know the factory-recommended amount of gearbox oil, fork oil, premix ratios and the like. Hello, few questions... Firstly, does anyone know where to get a front mudguard extension/flap from. So, to help stop mud flinging up into the frame and rad. I saw one on a bike Sunday but didn't get chance to ask where it came from. Scoured usual places online but can't find owt. Secondly, do people silicone seal around the exhaust can end caps to stop it weeping black gunk or is it best to let it ooze out and clean it up? Lastly, does anyone know what weight oil comes as standard in the forks? I want to make them a bit more bouncy to help him pop the front up, he's always run his bikes like that but if it's already 5 weight in there I'll have to shop ar…

Over the past few outings, I have noticed a clunking noise coming from the front end. Have done all of the usual stuff, headstock, front wheel bearings, tighten forks, check fork internals Check frame mounts, cracks in frame etc, etc, still have clunking sound. Mainly happens when front becomes light. Only other thing I have thought of could be fork stiction? Any help would be appreciated

typical today i jinxed myself! before trial talking to fellow rider i said i have never had any bother with my stator! and with one section to go bike just died and now i have no spark! bike is a 06 250 rev3 witch i have owned from new. tryed all the usuall stuff like new plug + borrowed coil from my brothers bike + removed kill switch and checked all wiring connections. can i test stator as i have decent multimetre what readings should i get on each wire? last section was a easy one that i had cleaned twice allready typical! i had to take a 5 to finish trial!

Hi! I've sent my '04 Rev3 Paioli shock absorber to service, and I was told that the bladder is punctured and there are no spare parts available, so it's unrepairable. It was even mentioned that because the shock is junk it's not even worth for me to pay for it's postage back to me (I live in Romania). Hi First time for me on these forums and soon to be first time for me on a Beta after 12+ years on a Gasser I have been a Gas Gas rider since 1995 and always loved them, however with maintenance time becoming scarce I have decided to move to the less time/maintenance intensive Beta. Having ridden a 250cc and a 270cc I have ordered a 270cc, primarily as it appears to offer more low down grunt and grip (please correct me if I am wrong on this!) My boys Beta 80 keeps killing spark plugs and I'd like a little help with it please. Most of the time they only last a few hours then you have to fit a new one. When you take an knackered one out it is black with oil not brown and dry like I think it should be. You can clean it up till it's spotless but it will never start the bike, does spark against the frame though. It's had a new fuel filter, air filter, carb stripped and cleaned and setup but nothing changes, I must be missing something. I've been using around 70ml of Ipone strawberry 2 stroke to 5 litres of normal unleaded. We've been lucky so far that it hasn't left us stranded but it has nearly ruin…

hi i have recently had the clutch on my 2008 beta 125 out, so i could sort the water pump. when i tried the clutch after putting the clutch back together their was no resistance in the lever, then as i pumped it, it built pressure but the pressure would not release and the clutch lever was/is now pretty solid. i have took the clutch casing off and noticed when i try pull the lever their is no movement in the push rod. i assume when reassembling the clutch i have a made a mistake although i don't know were. any thoughts or advice will be much appreciated. The hebo aux fuel tank clips on the forks and has a pipe which connects to the fuel cap syphoning the fuel, i understand the principal and have seen one connected to a gas gas , the problem with the beta is the breather conector on the fuel cap is to small how are people getting over this , mine is an 06 beta ,are the evo caps different?

Maybe should be in the clutch fix post???? Right, its an 04 Rev 3 250 and when I bought it the clutch wouldn't allow changes into neutral etc so whipped the clutch pack out and have done the clutch fix mod by cleaning out between the lumps and smoothing out the basket etc. This made a huge difference and it will now shift into neutral while stationary but the problem I have is that it won't release for ages when you first start it and that it sometimes "hangs on" when you pull the clutch in and continues to drive which is bloody frustrating. It was run on ATF (stands back and waits for the screeches!! lol) so changed on to Putoline light gear oil and after a couple of …

OK so a few things I've seen on the 2018 make me fairly certain we'll be seeing significant changes to the 2019. I've seen what appears to be much larger electrical capacity on the stator with more coils and a larger regulator/rectifier. An additional vent (pressure tube?) on the fuel filler. A security screw on the intake manifold. Pushing of electrics (CDI, ignition coil, regulator) away from the center of the frame towards outer parts of the bike. I have been riding my 07 Rev 3 250 with the pre load in forks and shock maxed out as this is what it recommends in the owners manual for the forks for my weight (over 80 Kilo as I'm 15.5 stone) there is no mention for the shock so I maxed that out as well. There was 3/4" bike on ground fork sag but no rear sag set up like this also I've had rebound screws front and rear completely undone. Does anyone have experience or advice to offer regarding the choice between NGK & Champion spark plugs in an '08 Beta? The spec sheet states the plug to be a Champion N7YCC, whilst the manual recommends use of an NGKBR7ES. I know these are equivalents, but does one suit the bike more than the other? My bike is a 125, but I think the plug recommendation is the same for all capacities. Cheers, Neil

Hello, I'm new to Trials Central and this is my first post... I decided to have a go at trials, bought a 2013 EVO 300 2T and have downloaded all the manuals and info I could find. I spent a couple of seasons club racing short circuits and built my own 750 Yamahas, so I'm reasonably confident on the tools but specs/settings supplied by Beta seem a bit sketchy compared to what I'm used to from Yamaha. I'm about 14 stone suited and booted and have bought a pair of 10% uprated springs to fit. For the fork, the owners manual says "Note : For screw A (triple tree clamps): torque wrench setting 7,8 : 9,1 Nm" but gives no torque info for the caps or anything else; …

Hi, quick question if I may, which I know may have been covered before on older Betas but this is new. Slight clutch drag ie, not disengaging instantly which is frustrating on a new bike but im told (having never owned one before) that it is common on Beta and will need a good 'running in' and oil change. On questioning the oil type/grade we all seem to have our own personal ideas and preferences indeed reasons why one is better than the other. A couple of dealers suggest either Putoline NANO TRANS or GP10, others with good riders suggest part synthetic, not fully synthetic and others good grade 4T 10/30 or 10/40.
