Hi all, There don't seem to be many rebuild threads on here of air cooled stuff, so thought I would post some pics of my TR34. I have had this since it was 6 months old, and it's had a pretty easy life until I left it in a shed with a leaky roof for a couple of years and everything corroded It's been a total strip down, frame, engine, hubs, etc all repainted, and everything that was plated, replated. It's been a struggle getting some of the bits, but nearly there now. I will add more pics as it progresses. I hope you enjoy the pics. Cheers, John.

I seem to be having a similar problem as the guys with the Techno in an earlier thread - the clutch on my Y2K Rev3 250 sticks when cold so bad that even in 2nd gear, clutch in on tarmac it locks up when being pushed to free them off. Eventually it releases enough for the back wheel to turn and then I need to find neutral before kicking it over to start. I have trouble (in fact nearly impossible) to find neutral when it's running so for every section I have to kill the engine if I need to rest unless I have a friend to hold the clutch in! I've also noticed that in higher gears (4th upwards) it tends to slip although there is no problem in lower gears and in sections them…

Hi Beta-freaks, I'm thinking of getting a 200 as I'm finding a 250 is a bit too much and a 125 isn't quite enough, if you see what I mean. I've recently been in touch with Chewy and Doogle who both rate the Evo 200 highly. Wondered if there's anyone else out there in TrialsCentralLand who will share their opinions about these bikes, please. The left sided kick start on my old 250 Techno was a pain but 200cc must be a bit easier to turn over..........? Thanks.

I was thinking of buying a Beta Rev 3 but have been really put off by the stories of electrical and stator problems, I am disapointed that Beta can manurfacture such a seemingly shoddy prioduct cos i really like the look of the bike, can anyone shed some light on this please, Thanks.

I have ordered an Evo and I want to change the front pipe, as this made a big difference to the way my Rev 3 ran. What aftermarket pipes are available for the Evos. I have found that S3 do one, and Arrow do a full system, pipe and silencer but this is

As the title says really. I'm going to chnage my fork oil. It been in there a while now so I think fresh oil will be a treat for this summers riding. I'm not going to do wipers and seals as they don't leak and I clean them regularly. I was going to use 5WT fork oil. Is that right? From what I've read a 1 litre bottle is ample for both legs. Can I simply remove each leg from the bike once the caps are loosened and tip out the old oil? I was going leave them inverted overnight to let anything else come out. My next step is refill with the amounts in the manual and bolt back together. I'm sure it can't be this easy?

Hi I have had my 2010 250 2t for a few weeks now and still cant get it to run as crisp as my 09? The carb is set to the standard settings as recommend by beta, 4th needle notch and 1 1/4 turns on the air screw. It seems to be slow to pick up from tick over when the throttle is opened fully, just seems to lack response? Also when revved then the throttle closed it seems to take a while for the rpm to drop back to idle? Anyone found simular or got any ideas?

Out for a long ride today and the water pump started leaking. I took it apart and this is what is there - http://www.ebizviewer.com/2008BetaRev3.jpg . Can it be saved or should I be getting a new internal clutch cover? It looks like the corrosion has prevented the o-ring to be held in place. I think the part no is 12-62663-0-67.

Hello The Beta Evo 200 was much appreciated by older riders, who wanted a softer, less aggressive power delivery. Can anyone enlighten me as to when Beta ruined the Beta Evo 200cc by lightening the flywheel, raising the compression ratio and other "improvements" which have spoilt the soft, mild, tractable nature of the engine, making grip elusive in difficult conditions, even for experienced riders? The 2020 models still had the above "improvements". Do the 2021 and/or 2022 models also suffer? Thanks

Hi All I'm new to this forum so first of all a big hello to everyone and thanks to everybody that has posted in this forum, I've found some really useful information. Secondly, I've just baught my first bike, a Beta Rev 3 270cc 2000 model. When I got it I didn't know much about it, and thought the gearbox oil was the engine oil, not knowing the oil needed to be mixed with the petrol I filled it up with pure petrol You can imagine my horror when I realized that 1/3 of the way down the manual from the beta website changes to English and says that the oil needs mixing with the petrol. So, Foolishly, without any precision, I poured a little oil into the tank. Anyway, I…

I am either the most unlucky person on the planet or is there a problem? So far in the last 5 weeks i have had 5! YES 5 rear 2011 fenders snap and crack as if they were made from glass! at 70+ notes each iam now at my wits end!!! I wouldnt mind so much if id looped the bike everytime, but its from hardly even touching the bloody things. On my 2009 and 2010 bike i couldnt fault the fender they seemed unbrakeable. Is anyone else out there having the same problem?
