Stolen Bikes

My Beta got stolen a while back and I have now replaced it and don't want the same to happen twice. I regulary see on this forum bikes getting stolen. I was wondering what people do as their best line of defence. I have been looking at ground anchors, different types of alarms, chains, locks and even a doberman...... Any suggestions?

Hi Guys . On the 14/6/2013 my two Beta evo's were stolen from Cookham in Berkshire . One is a 2013. 200cc frame no ZD3T60000C0150214. Engine no ZD3B9T-0910599. And a 2012. 250cc Frame no 202238. Engine no 909383. Both had Raptor pegs , red clutch and brake adjusters, front mudguard raisers , front no boards , they also took a set of Factory alloy billeted footrests in a Raptor black box , Plus my Marin Trail Attack mountain bike in black , with a large inflatable saddle , a small v shape dent on the offside of the rear wheel that gives the wheel a slight buckle . Hi all, been reading/following this site for some time now but never actually registered before. Now I need to be. Some scumbag broke into my garage tonight Tuesday 28th between 9 & midnight & had away my bike. It's a 2005 txt pro 250 in red, frame number VTRGG2502F0250662. They only took the bike even though all riding gear & tools were also around, so must have been a targeted theft. I got a phone call this morning at 8:30, from the wife, saying that our neighbour has just been around and said at about 1:30am as he was going for a slash, he heard a loud bang, so decided to take a peek through the window. There was 3 guys. One was in next doors garden looking over my fence, and the other two were kneeling down in front of my garage. They saw him and ran off. I made some bits at work, and spent the afternoon beefing up the security, extra locks, and alarm. A recently restored 1960 Scottish (32A) has been stolen from a garage in South Reading Berkshire Reg *** GWL. Finished in a brighter than standard blue. Any help in recovery greatly appreciated. Theft reported to Thames Valley police. Thanks. Dave

08 Beta 125 stolen last week near Wakefield. Someone possibly saw it being loaded into a van so could end up anywhere ? Keep an eye out for it at dealers, trials & Flappit near Keighley. hi everyone i hope i posted this correctly , my bikes were stolen last weekend from my grandads well locked workshop near banbury, a motorcross bike yamaha yz50 & a trials yamaha ty175, both were in fairly good condition, i was hoping to ride them while i am on holiday from school, & a reward is offered for their safe return :-)contact northamptonshire police at weston favel police station - thanks -toby

The Braintree and District MCC purchased 3 OSET bikes at the end of last year. These bikes have been used to promote Trials and we have been running events once or twice a month getting youngsters to try out Trials. This has been our attempt to promote Trials and get youngsters to take up the sport and the results so far have been encouraging. Last night two of the bikes were stolen from my garage in Halstead, Essex. HI All am happy to report the recovery of one the two bikes we had stolen 6wks ago. Its taken a lot of time and energy something am happy to wright about at a later date.. But for now am still looking for my sons Christmas present.... I believe now that the Montesa has been recovered the other bike ,the 125 txt 2006 gas gas will go on the market somewhere ....ebay ,guntree or local papers somewhere. Right then here's the story, In jan this year I got sent on a 6 week course at marham In Norfolk, as it's I'n the middle of no where and over 1000mile round trip to get home at weekends I decided to take the trials bike and ride with a few mates based In Lincolnshire. Hi Stolen sometime during the night of 1st/2nd August. There can't be that many of these old crossers around. It was set up as an enduro when it was stolen and had a Q plate on it. I have a frame number if needed. It has a few identifying features. It has the bore and stroke scratched onto the cylinder from when I got it re-bored. Also it has a swing arm from a later husky that required some modification to get it to fit. It had to had a bar welded onto the end of the wheel bolt.
