Stolen Bikes

A mate of mine had a couple of bikes taken from the Reeth Road area of Richmond last night approx 3.30am the police reckon. The bikes were were last seen in the Skerne park part of Darlington,(According to Police) The bikes were taken from our garage in Richmond. What the police suspect is that they have been ridden from Richmond to Darlington at approx 3:40 (First hearing / sighting) to 4:20am roughly. They were spotted and chased near croft, but took to the fields / off road. Sherco Registration : YJ56 CVN

I was followed by a white Transit van in the Penrith area on Friday evening (I didn't know they were following me at the time of course). I stopped at Go Outdoors, reversing the back of my van up against the wall so the bike on the rack couldn't be seen, and went in to use the toilet. It was underneath a security camera but it couldn't identify a reg or the men involved. Within 2 mins the bike was gone and bundled in to a van. It was a dark blue Scorpa SY 250 in good condition. This bike stolen on the night of Mon 2nd to Tues 3rd Jan 2017 from a lockup near Great Western Road, Aberdeen It is a Yamaha TY250R 1994 ‘Pinky’ model. The bike was stored in a transport crate with handlebars and front wheel removed. The transport crate was found smashed open and the bike had been removed. The bike had undergone a complete refurbishment resulting in this being an immaculate version of this machine. The restoration had been carried out by AG Brown of Richmond Yorkshire. Please can you keep your eyes and ears to the ground, some scumbag(s) have stolen from our garage the Montesa 4RT Repsol 2006 Trials bike , Frame number ending in "319". these folks knew what they were doing and managed to steal this with a D lock on the front wheel and a R1 Wheel attached to the sub frame. (managed to actually take the wheel out of the R1 in a very bike like professional way - so they are bike savvy! and neat!). Stolen from locked house shed in Scarborough N.Yorks. Bikes chained together with Heavy Duty Oxford chain link locks Thatcham approved. Bikes removed still locked, carried as one. 2 helmets and 2 pairs of boots including a number of oil containers also taken. All other items in shed such as tools, cycles not touched. Targeted theft. Hi, my Montesa was stolen about a week ago. After only owning this bike for 13 days, it is, well, very annoying to say the least. The bike has a very obvious mount on its front number plate for a litre bottle of petrol and i have made the best photo of the bike i could find my profile picture so you can see what it looks like. If anyone has any information or finds anything could they please let me know. Also if anyone has any advice on what to do to possibly get the bike back i would appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Alex

Thieves broke into my garage in Almondsbury, North Bristol on the evening of Monday 11th June 2018 and stole my excellent condition and much loved 2004 Scorpa SY-250. It has dark blue PVC tape on the frame down members and a dent on the rear section of the exhaust outlet. It was fitted with some Trials Control footrests made by Chris Wrigley and I also replaced the rear slotted brake disk with a solid one from a Montesa. The frame number is: 400351 (*VVU6GY*)

My mates had their bikes stolen last night. 2011 gas gas 300 racing and a repost montesa. The montesa is quite distinctive, it's a 2008 fitted with a Mitanni front pipe and silencer, anodised gold sump guard, swing arm cups, fork yokes and wheel rims with the back one being machined out works style. It isn't the standard montesa gold, it is the lighter TRW gold colour. Keep your eyes out and let's keep these type of people away from our sport!

Stolen Beta 270 Rev3 2001 Model, Stolen on Tuesday evening from Scarborough, around 11.00pm. Bike description is as follows. Blue, with very distinctive Graphics to tank and Rear Mudguard. Has COL on rear mudguard, tank has lacquer over graphics Brand new top end, 250 actually, NOT 270, just had major head rebuild. Exhaust has a brass coloured bracket in the centre for support, not the usual fastening, as broke off. Air filter panel to left of bike has white reflective vynil to stop marks with boots. Front tyre has a few cracks in ( needs a new one) Rear tyre is turned round, for a few more miles. If anyone has this bike offered to you, could you please call 0777…

I had 3 bikes stolen February 13 and after almost 2 years have managed to recover 1 out of the 3. I won't go into to much detail, but I saw the bike advertised on scumtree, viewed the bike as soon as possible to confirm and then headed to the local nick to report it. The local plod was very disinterested, but I have to credit my local police who have been great, and got the bike back. The chap who had the bike is not believed to be responsible for the theft, but instead had paid hard earned cash to the scumbags which took it. I regularly check auction and sale sites and have key words saved to narrow the results, I identified the bike on the advert from some small feature…
