Hello Just got an Oset 20 for the kids. It has standard wheels and tyres. What pressures do you run at? Looks like no chance of running them at normal trials bike pressures. Thanks Dave

Wondering if anyone can help me. My son has had a oset 20r for a couple of years now which we got second hand, 6 months ago he has blown the motor ( Burning type smell and smoke coming from it) We have been unsure about getting it fixed because of the cost of the new motor. Would this be sellable without been repaired and anyone got any idea of price that we could sell for . It worked fine before this happened and my son has had a growth spurt so no longer any good. It also has the boost battery. Cheers

Hi everyone!! sorry for bother you with this old issue, but i noted that you guys knows a lot about this...i want to upgrade the battery and after reading a lot ...still not sure if my solution it will work....: i would use 4 x High Capacity 20000mAh 4S 12C Lipo Pack.... my questions are: 1.- are they power enough? (i ask, because you explained in other thread that maybe dont release the spected power for a 20r oset) 2.- I 've read a lot about built in BMS...this packs doesnt have built in BMS ....it enough with the charger have some kind of BMS ? (for balance charge, voltage protect etc) or you recomend buy something else for battery monitoring? …

newbie stampedes in where the wise fear to tread - but hoping for more ideas in this forum - here are my tips: 1. my 3.5 year old's hands were simply not big or strong enough to pull the brakes. 2 things changed this: i) i removed the spring at the bottom of the back brake ii) i adjusted the the little alan screws in each lever to bring the levers well within his reach. now he can use both brakes with relative ease, even if he won't be pulling stoppies any time soon. 2. i accidentally knocked the cover off the little rheostat, next to the key slot. This allows me to dial in different speeds without using a screw driver, by simply turning the dial with my finger. I…

with the bike dialed in to have a low top speed, i find the throttle impossibly sensitive for a 3 year old - for him it is basically a digital on and off switch - providing a near instant 0-5mph acceleration. great torque but intimidating for a 3 year old. I would have hoped that with 2007 electronic technology the throttle reponse would be smooth and linear over the length the throttle turn. Clearly, this isn't so easy to do. Anyone have ideas for a work around?

Hi all Newbie here - to both trails & Oset. Bought a 2nd hand 2017 24 R privately. Just gone to charge it, red light comes on on the charger but not the yellow one as it should have as the bike battery is flat. I try to pull off the charger plug lead from the battery socket (after unscrewing the locking ring)& the charger plug on the lead comes apart in my hand !!!! DOHHHH !!!! The plastic cap & metal 'plug' in the lead have separated with all 4 wires detaching from the 'prongs' in the metal body of the charger lead plug. Anyone know of someone who can repair it please or any other recommendations,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Many thanks …

Hi, I'm Sergio from Spain. First, thanks for the knowledge and help provided by this forum. Second, sorry for my awful english , hopefully, you can't hear my spanish accent throug the computer... I've two daugthers, 8 and 6 years old, and this christmas, the "Olentzero", our own vasque country santa has carried us an Oset 16-36. This is it waiting for a full grease and adjusting service: It's a second hand one in VGC and miraculously found 20 kilometers from home and with not a crazy price tag. The girls loved it much from the first time, I'm a trail-enduro man and they know all the stuff messing around at home, helmets, gloves, mud and that. The only…

Little boy got brand new oset 12.5 for xmas and has prob only used for 2-3 hrs max (bloody english weather), its only been used on complete flat ground and never been dropped, the problem I have noticed is the mudguard and center rear wheel arent lined up? The chain and wheel all run true but it seems the left hand side swingarm is a mm lower than the right side so when you stand back and eye the line the wheel looks like it slightly tilts to the left(lower side). I took whole back assembly of and greased and loosened the swingarm pivot and whilst back wheel was off i placed a spirit level across width swingarm and right side is slightly higher, i then loosened the 4 nut/…

Hi, Has anyone tried the above on a Mecatecno? Mecatecno only do the standard teeny-tiny chain which Adam has just snapped. The logical choice seems the heavy duty Oset one but looking to see if 1: the sprocket fits and 2: the chain is the right length for a. Mecatecno. Trials UK were very helpful but couldn't guarantee either fit. Or correct chain length. Anyone know anything?

I reckon this forum might get a fair bit of interest over the coming months, I've just read the news article at http://www.trialscentral.com/cms/showartic...?articleID=3364 and reckon that we'll start seeing these bikes at venues and in parks very soon. I sold our 12.5" bike to a bloke called Scott who lurks on here I think? If so, how are you getting on with it and have you let the kids have a go on it yet? We have a 16" bike on order so it will hopefully be here soon. C'mon Ian, my lad is moaning at me every day

Hi, As the title says really who's done it and what sort of issues did you come up against in the process ? Basically I have been in two minds to go down the petrol or electric route as a starter for my 8yr old, really not many decent petrol ones around (been searching for couple of months) unless you start spending £1k + and then you still dont know what sort of a life they have had ! Then of course after watching a few recent trials all the kids seem to be on these Oset bikes and looks like this is the way forward but after being brought up on petrol bikes I suppose that's why I wanted to smell the 2stroke bliss again but that coupled with the obvious noise differen…

My boy Max has been riding his 16" Oset since March. He is 7 yrs old and weighs 50lbs with gear. Running the potentiometer wide open only delivers roughly 1.5 hrs ride time. We bought a spare battery from Ian and his support has been top notch. What are others finding for battery life? My boy loves the bike and rides it all the time.
