I've noticed over the last few weeks my bike seems to have a strange whine when ridden, but only in second gear in all the other gears its fine. Its now got to the point where other people can hear it as I'm riding, the bike its self is riding ok. I'm going to try get a video of it as well I've just been and started the bike to try and get a video of it running in second gear on the workshop stand in the garage and it isnt making the whine so it must be doing it under load

Hi everyone, as promised i'm sharing the entire 2012 Explorer 280i project to provide as much information as possible to those who need it. Here is the bike before complete disassembly: The bike starts (with difficulty) has good compression (forgot to test it before opening the engine), the gears are ok (neutral doesn't go in easily), the engine's electrical system works but nothing of the Explorer's additional system works; A 12V battery with flying wires that activates the pump and ECU has been added by someone previously. The engine runs very very rich and makes a lot of smoke (the locomotive from Back to the Future III makes less smoke) …

HI, Can anyone help. I have a 2013 Ossa TR280i and i have notice on the LHS of the bike there are 2 wires not connected and without a connector. Upon closer inspection they appear to be Green and Black and i think they should be connected to the Sensor Gasolina. Can anyone shed some light on the function / location of this. The bike runs fine !

Not sure if this has been posted up here, as I ain't seen it, but seems Sergio has mave it over to the factory and got some nice pic's and some videro up on his site. I was goin to comment on a few the pics, but I see he has them coptrighted and such, and you just need to see them all anyways. I see a lot of really cool stuff there. Seems they are doing a top job on things. The design is radical by most standards, but at the same time, I likee a lot of things about it, and as an old Ossa fan, well, It does make one a bit proud that they are doing it! If nothing else,it is just friggin cool! Ck this out!

Hi all. Got my engine back from Steve Sell recently. Sent to him as I wanted gearbox sorting. New rod kit, all bearings, small end etc. New rings, piston (std) and bore OK. Have obviously had barrel off to put engine in frame, new gaskets. Have pulled down again to check rings, all good. Jetting and fuel mixture make no difference to noise. Bike pulls well, all of the exhaust is new, runs nice at walking pace and pulls fine. So is this just a normal Ossa thing? Video below

Hi I'm wondering if any has modified the rear brake on a Ossa Mar to remove the cable and convert into a direct link pull. If so how is this done and does it improve the rear brake action at all. Many thanks

  11. I need some thinner steel wear disks for my OSSA 2013 factory 300 to get the thickness down for an easier clutch pull. If I can't find thinner plates for the OSSA clutch are they the same as a GASGAS clutch? If so what bike? I wanted one of those cool XIU adjustable rings but can not find them in stock anywhere. This leads me to another question would the XIU ring for the Gas Gas work in an OSSA? Tnx.

Hi all !! My 350 Gripper (that I got about a year ago but havent done much with) has a loud engine. The noise seems to be coming mainly from inside the clutch cover but its difficult to say exactly. I opend up this side and have found that the primary chain is quite sloppy. I´m not sure if I could change this my self or if it´s to difficult. Maybe a chain tensioner for In motion would be the right choice as it hasn´t got one ? The othe thing that I noticed is that inside the clutch cover casing there are some very light score marks where the weight on the end of the crank has been rubbing on the cover. I investigated this and have fond that the crank has play in it from…

I have taken the time to search and read about these bikes. I recently acquired a 1973 MAR and was wondering if the center exhaust section contains or contained at one point packing material, or is it baffled, or simply a small expansion chamber? I ask on account of wanting to clean it off carbon deposits internally and externally prep it for paint.

I'm pretty new to trials and fancy a newer bike. I really wanted a 4 stroke Beta but I just can't find one. I'm now looking at 2 strokes again. I've come across a 2013 TR280i but know nothing about them. I wouldn't even know how to identify it as a 2013 model? What's a good price for one of these and what should I be looking out for? Cheers!

So I got the Btwice flyweel kit and started to fit it but stumbled on two issues: 1) while nice kit there are no fixing bolts included (kit only comes with the weight and the cranckase extender shim) 2) Original gear shifter doesn't fit with extended crankcase size (it's against the magneto door and you can only shift downwards, upward's it's stuck against the door) How did you overcome those two issues: What bolts did you use to fix the weight on magneto w/o it going out of balance? Did you have to remove the magneto to fix it (manual states some special tool needed for this, can it be done without the special tool?) …

I recently got my first classic bike, from a friend who just wanted it out the garage. He has said its a ossa mar 250 mick andrews rep. I don't know enough about it, to know for sure if it is what it is claimed to be. Any help and advice much appreciated. Earl

I changed the oil on our bikes at the weekend. On the 2011, I only got a dribble out of the drain plug, layed the bike over but didn't get much. Cracked the clutch cover as per directions on the Ossa Canada site and ended up with about 220ml of oil. The 2011 is also lacking a magnetic drain plug which I'm going to order. On the 2012, I didn't have to crack the clutch cover and got 220ml. I put 220ml back into both bikes and the oil is at the top of the glass. Does that sound right? The book says there is 350ml of oil in there which means I've changed less than 2/3 of the oil. I used the GRO Synthetic 10w/30 oil which seems to be recommended - I couldn't find the 7…
