  1. I see this in my user manual is this something I can plug into the existing harness on my 2013 OSSA Factory? Anyone know if the sending unit is already in the fuel tank or not? There is no way to know how much fuel is left (only gripe with the bike so far) and it might be nice to have an indicator of sorts. Anyone know for sure?

Right now I have a pretty much stock 72 MAR. It has what appears to be a stock four inch high bar and stock foot pegs. I am new to trials but I believe that I want to be slightly more erect. I have read it suggested to move the pegs down appx. three inches (weld plate to frame) for a lower center of gravity, but I have also been told that it is better to raise the handle bars instead and leave the peg height stock to maintain clearance to the side of the skid plate. Any suggestions whether to go up (raise handle bars), or down (lower pegs), or both would be appreciated. I do plan to modernize the pegs (wider and springs), but wanted to get the whole picture before go…

One problem after another. The bike keeps fighting me me all the way. I noticed that the screw on the throttle body for the TPS has come loose so carefully screwed it back in but hay ho the thread has stripped so now have to rethread the plastic which has now been done. Doing this i had to remove the switch unit and have no lost the correct position so now have to get it to someone who can reset it. Looking at removing the air filter the air box is really dirty and looking down the throttle body that too is dirty with what looks like sooty deposits on the butterfly so have to clean that as well. How is the airbox removed as everything is so compact. Thank.

well solved the clutch slip/kickstart issue, put it all together and started to kick it over when the kickstart went all floppy again. Damn i thought its the springs again but no this time the kickstart knuckle has cracked through so it cant grip!! InMotion have it listed but out of stock, has anyone ever found an alternative that fits, tried all my ductai/benelli ones to no avail, or know of a source of knuckles.

  5. Started by neandethal,

I have a 1975 250 MAR but the rear brake has 25mm wide shoes which i think was from earlier models (?), InMotion only stock 30mm wide. I am assuming these don't fit but i can find plenty of Y503 shoes that are 110 x 25mm and cheap too for genuine EBC, has anyone tried these or am i left with finding a local relining company fr the solution? Any help gratefully received, Ian

Hi, since we have dark winters here in Sweden I would like to attach a small led headlight on my tr280 201. I'm wondering if any of you know how much output the alternator gives. And which of the cables I can connect the headlight to. Take care folks!

Any news about the OSSA explorer in Europe? It wont be in North America until June. Just wondering if its out in Europe now, if any reviews, videos, etc. I have seen the CAD renderings, a few of the photos from the OSSA site, the various magazine articles based on the product literature. I am quite interested in this bike, as it is trials based, very light and they will try to make it street legal in north america. Thanks

  11. OK are there any electronic/computer geeks out there who have an OSSA TR280? I tried to buy the cable from an ex distributor and they wanted $650CAD ($500USD) - no way. I cannot find one for sale in elsewhere. BTwice does not respond. If I know the proper communications protocol, a cable could be made up for under $40CAD, which would include the connectors to the OSSA. After hunting around I was able to find out some information: Two of the four pins on the diagnostic connector are for power. The other two are for communications. Looking at a picture of the BTWICE cable (from USB) it shows some electronics for protocol conversion, but I cannot quite…

Have totally stripped the bike down to the frame for powder coating but still have the fuel pump to remove. It seems to have quick connectors on the fuel lines but I have no idea how to separate them. Anyone know how?

  13. As the heading says looks like we are not allowed to pass comment on ex works bikes on Trials Central anymore? I think people were only trying to protect other Trials Central members. Thought i would just make the point before this post gets deleted as the others were. Free speach, within the boundaries of the law used to be allowed on here. Then again it's not my site so what Andy decides is Andies perogative and i have to respect that and i do. Perhaps we could have an outline of what we are and are not allowed to discuss?

hi all,my 2011 ossa has developed a vibration at about 2/3rds throttle. up to that point all sounds well and starts fine.I cant find anything loose anywhere to cause it.The spark plug was black and a bit oily so I was wondering if the tps was a bit out would it cause the vibration.

Hi guys, I'm completely new to trials, well motorbikes full stop. There's been what I think is an Ossa MAR 250 sat in the shed for the best part of 20 years now, purchased by my old man for a tenner. As I've got a bit of time on my hands I've started taking it apart with the hope of getting it back to somewhere decent nick (never worked on a bike before but I'm a fairly competent mechanic and engineer). I haven't got as far as checking the frame and engine numbers yet to find out specifically what model it is, I was just wondering if the pattern on the tank is stock? Most of the early models have the green stripe of some sort but i recently saw one with a red stripe? Unf…

I have a problem with the tool-box panel on my Ossa Mar. It clearly becomes hot from the exhaust pipe behind it and the paint keeps blistering. I have smoothed it down and re-painted and wrapped some heat deflector material around the pipe but after a short run it's as bad as before. Does anyone have a solution ??
