Anybody have solutions for fixing a sole that is wearing through from footpeg pressure? Would rather fix than buy new boots if possible. Resole? Shoe Goo? Flex Seal? Cheers

Hi All, my Gaerne Balance "waterproof" boots are now letting in water. They are about 18mths old and I've treated them with Gaerne polish after every event but I think the issue is the folding membrane possibly at its base where the fold tucks are really tight. Anyone know if this membrane can be repaired or replaced? Ian E 06 Montesa 4RT 81 Ossa Gripper 350

I currently have the gaerne oiled boots, such a comfy boot, but after a good soaking they become extremely soft and i nearly ripped my little toe off at the reeth, so has anyone tried the standard gaernes? Are they a little tougher when wet?

has anyone tried having their boots resoled . boots are ok but soles worn out. They would need stitching and glueing at a cobblers if replacement sole are available . This must be cheeper than new ones.

I've recently bought a pair and would like to look after them. Do they need re-oiling after being washed? I've had a google around but can't find anything on how to look after them.

Hi all, I know there is a ton of threads about boots and I've read most of em, but still have some questions. Lots of people seem to like the gaerne oiled boots for their feel and comfort. Can someone comment on the amount of protection offered? Is there some internal ankle protection built in? Does not look like much. I'm also considering the forma. These look very similar. Can someone comment on the protection of the formas vs the gaerne? Also considering the alpinestars, the sidis, and the TCX. These seem to be a bit closer to the mx boots I'm used to. Coming from mx I'm thinking any of these are going to feel very light to me. Any feedback on the TCX boots? Lastl…
