Hi I'm new to the forum. But can anyone help? Amongst others I've a Cota 348 I'm rebuilding to ride rather than show, so I'm looking for help on alternative front forks as Cota forks seem as rare as hen's teeth. Has anyone experience of fitting forks from other makes that preserve the wheelbase and geometry (or close enough so the handling isn't compromised) of the originals? Cheers

Hi, does anyone know if there are metal tanks available to fit under the orignial glass fibre seat & tank unit? I know there are treatments available to prevent ethanol 'eating' the glass fibre but a metal tank would be preferable.

I have a brand new 4RT back wheel, ready to go on the bike with all the spacers and a brand new disc and sprocket. It also has a brand new Dunlop 803 rear tyre on it. The wheel alone cost me

I have heard many reports that 4rt's like a reasonable diet of spark plugs every 15 - 20 hrs ! I have never heard of such a phenomina ! Who should be ashamed Honda or NGK , or is there a different brand ie nippon denso or an iridium style plug that you set and forget like a BSA bantam or a 06' trials bike of any other brand . Love the bike but baffled with the plug eating thingy !!!!!!

I have recently bought a 98 315 fitted with the Paoli forks, but have no manual. When purchased all the suspension settings were backed off, can anyone help with a suggested starting point (for reference the rider is no featherweight).

Hi, Having truble starting my 172 with the kick start - think it must be compression related anyone know what it should be? I have bought a tester and will give it a whirl tonight. The bike will statrt and run if you tow it but it takes some starting even then! Open to suggestions Cheers

Hi, I failed to finish a trial on Sunday as my bike had some running issues, it eventually cut out, I pushed it back up the quarry, sort of fixed it and then I ran out of time! It started the day running perfectly, started easily, tickover was good and it revved cleanly. After 2 laps, idle started being a little funny, it was wanting to cut out, and seemed to be surging slightly, like it was running out of fuel. I then noticed that it was dumping fuel out of the overflow pipes when I revved it and then backed off, I have heard this is the float sticking, so I had a go at tapping the body of the carb, which didn't really fix it. Anybody know what size the taper bearing used in the '98 315? I'm sure they should be a fairly standard one but not been able to find it. 'Official' bearings seem very expensive

$8.55 plus shipping for ea for the 2 rearmost fender bolts on my 06 4RT. Is that what you guys pay in the UK or Europe ? $40.00 for a OEM frt disc guard? I love the bike but only having one distributor in the US sucks

Hello all I'm thinking about changing my bike and going 4 stroke and having ridden both Beta and Mont I've decided that I want to treat myself and buy the Mont, my only concern is that Pidcocks have given up being the importer, so does this mean sales have dropped to such an extent it is no longer viable being the importer? Before I part with my cash anyone have any idea what the future holds for Montesa or do you think Honda will pull out? Many thanks in advance.

Does anyone know of any particular aftermarket top yoke for a 4RT (06/07) which has conventionally positioned bar clamps? By conventional, I mean not tilted back like the standard HRC ones fitted. Would prefer a fat bar option too if possible but not a deal breaker. My problem is that being 6'2" I feel the bars are too close to me and tipping them far enough forward speeds up the steering too much for me. Many thanks.

Hi, I've recently bought a 2015 4rt which I'm having a problem starting when cold, once it's warm it seems to start no problem but seems to tick over quite high, could anyone give me any advice on this problem and also tell me what RPM it should run at? Thanks

Just did the first oil and filter change on the new bike, all went well, let the bike run for five minutes, no leaks. Next day went to put bashplate on, and noticed faint line of oil on the centre gasket line, so gave it a good wipe off, and checked the drain bolt, all seemed dry.l've looked again today and the faint line of oil is back. I'm not sure now if this could of been happening from the factory , it doesn't cause a drip,just this faint line of oil. Also what is the small hole on this case joint, could it seep slightly from there .

Hey guys....looking fur some info on wheels...i have a 05 4rt..just wondering if theres any other wheels out there that will fit 4rt...ie maybe the 315. ? Please let me know if ye think they woll or know thet defo will fit..thanks...john
