Seems a great idea "AtomAnt". there arn't many one-off trialsbikes around, the only one that you see regularly is that 'Birkett Special' thing, with a TYZ engine. He made that quite a long time ago now and its done about every national trial you can think off and still going. A really trick 2 stroke mont would be good as someone said. Got me head goin' now Ian!

I dont think they have a website they advertise most weeks in the TMX and aint got a copy to hand so, soz they do anodizing and powder coat, not just wheels they do everything

No, candywheels strip the wheel down for you and re-build them, all in the price

gaz, the trial was spot on. excellent sections, great ride round, although some were late on time, you really could not be any fairer than 6 hours, lots of people messin' round on the first group. brilliant trial, thanks to you all you really put a lot of effort in!! months & months. also good work by webmonkey to get the results done there and then. Personally, i had bike trouble all day, didnt run properly at all, gasserboy can back me up on that! Thanks again, hope you going to do it nxt year!

sorry to hear about your injury gasserboy, gutted you aint riding looking forward to it, should be an excellent trial. If your thinking about spectating, go a head because its superb land!! great views (if your into that kinda thing)

2004 was a good year for the pro My 300 been out every wkend since april 2004, done road trials on it & everything and there is not a rattle coming from it, still sounds superb. you just got to realize they need a lot more tlc than a mont!! but its been 100% reliable, hav'nt had to spend money on it my advice from coming off a mont to a 280 would be to put a slow action twistgrip on it and possibly at some point put a flywheel weight on it. from owning a 2000 mont in the past, i've always found the gassers grip just as well, if not better. they're years in front of anything else, so, it will be a good move!

I agree with Slapshot 3, trials at world level should be complete no stop. going no-stop may also make the severity of the sections more sensible

Gas Gas are notorious for air to leek through the spokes as perce said. Tighten your spokes up, or their is a strong possibility that 1 may have snapped. some people put tubes in tubeless tyres, and if you pump it up, it can be quite obvious if your not sure because it rounds off the profile. other than that check for flat spots in the rim etc that could disturb the bead.

The plug is chocolaty brown colour, which is good. We did'nt think about an induction leek and yeah, its been run on Shell Optimax fuel. air filter, carb etc are spotless, there is not too much oil on the filter either . will check for induction leek though. would'nt the engine race if it was sucking in more air?? Hi, A mate of mine has a 4 month old '05 (UK bike), the bike has had light use, but he is having problems with it not reving out properly when he goes for big steps etc (revs like the bike is cold). he's tried jetting, adjusting the carb air screw, different oils, reeds, you name it. other than that its perfect and its a lovely bike. anyone any suggestions? has a Keihin carb conversion been done on a Scorpa? Thanks

Has'nt HOPE made three sets for shirty, thorpe & wiggy. It seems a good idea as they make the offset the same as the 7/8 bars (further back). Would'nt mind getting hold of one actually .

Gasgas had them on the 03 280 and they junked them because they werent very good. Keihin is a far more superior carb to the dellorto thing. a mate of mine ran a dellorto flatslide on his gasser and hes taken it off and put the keihin back on, didnt rate it at all. Someone else i know had one on an 04 mont and it would not stop pinking & he spent ages trying to set it up. Stick to standard or a keihin.

But has'nt this been argued all the way through... why put in a clubman route into the championship, when no-one knows what a clubman is. when riding in manx, there were so many riders riding the clubman route, which were perfectly capable of doing the national line, and that is unfair on the true clubman (mainly novice/inters). would'nt that be doubling the problem?? Thats the problem that we have riding the novogar series, Jarvis rode one earlier in the year and he's number 8 in the world. Somethings going wrong somewhere

Jet wash your wheels, engine etc. then use a bucket and sponge on the plastics coz jet washers can rip off stickers and lacquer. After washing, use duck oil on the wheels, frame and any chrome bits. do all this as soon as you get home from riding. Your Gasser will GLEEM

Thanks Gasserboy & Cubby! I thought the sections were absolutly spot on, Technical and tricky, nothing severe. that was 1 of about 4 nationals i have enjoyed this year, excellent! I spoke to a few riders on thursday who were on the clubman course, they all said the sunday was hard, but, they WILL BE BACK!! same as everyone has said... extremely good trial. My frst time at the trial and will go back, not only because of the amasing trial but also the night life! Jenkins had a ace ride for first time. Thanks again cubby and everyone envolved!!!!!

I used Ipone once (S2 & Samuri) and found them to be quite smokey, especially on road trials, also you need to repack your silencer a lot more often. The Cleanest i've used so far is Motul 600, but as r2w said, its a bit smokey when you stop/just given the bike a bit of a blast . My local dealer is stocking the Repsol stuff, so just wanted your verdict . So sounds like its good quality so far?

One of the best trials i've ever done!! I rode the national line and there was nothing severe but it still took 19 marks off Colley, which is how it should be!!! Sections were superb aswell as the ride around the Island. I lost the plot on the sunday a bit but really ejoyed every bit of the weekend.... Thanks!

I still dont understand what/where you would ride it? Very much doubt you would be allowed in a skatepark with one (a lot of parks dont even let mountain bikers in!!), or if so, you'd probably just get laffed out of there . Its just some sort of paddock bike thing.... Gimme a Thumpstar over that anyday!!

The jap riders are fantastic and also theres some good crashes!!! well worth downloading, Ogawa's video is good. Only a couple of the riders tend to do the worlds, yet, most of the Japanese riders could do very well at it
