  1. Round ,Sharp lugs , 2.5 to 5 psi depending on conditions .... usually black in color ...4.00 x 18 most common size .....
  2. i rode Trials constantly as a kid , tl125 was new .. and stopped right as the ty80 came out . I wish that scenario was reversed as the Honda was just a tad to big for me , but I managed ...I didn't ride a trials bike again until 2005 when I rediscovered the sport and got my 240 Fantc . Trials Tech milestones IMHO .... 1;Spanish bikes (enough said) 2;The fantic 240 motor (changed the way we rode ) 3; Disc brakes !! 4;The Beta Zero and the TY Mono . (changed design forever !!!) 5; and since then , it's all been fine tuning the design . Just my 2 pence ... Glenn But it still is 98.9% rider , not the bike ....
  3. That chap might have a future in our sport !!!!
  4. I ride a 240 and have a few expansion chambers , 1st one when I got the bike , got the serious Cleaning/soak in solvent and the the torch treatment .And then a blowgun to get all the debris out , rinse & repeat ...2nd one got cut open to see what was inside , similar to the photo , repacked and welded back up ....NOT worth the effort .! My bike runs better with the burned out unrepacked pipe than with the repacked pipe . Sounds just a tick more ringdingy, but make sure you've got a good clean silencer on it and it will respond better at all rpm's. And the pipes are about irreplaceable, so why risk damaging one ???? Glenn
  5. I;ve never heard or seen that question asked about a trials bike .... By a trials rider ...
  6. I run K&N air filters in all my bikes , and as long as I know they are seated/sealed correctly I don't worry about them . Unless I've been in a very dusty event , which very rarely happens here in the southeast where I live ... But I do check their condition when I remember....... Glenn....
  7. Chefe ; Beautiful Bike !!! Glenn

  9. Now go find some slimy mud and see if the weather switch works , if the mud turns into dry rocks for you , you'll be world champ in no time Nice work on the bike , looks great . Glenn

    207/307 ?

Engine # is stamped on a machined flat surface kinda under the carb towards the right side , you should be able to clean it and read it with a little patience ,and maybe a mirror . Glenn And Bill Pye is your parts source for anything Fantic in the UK
  11. All I can add to that is "Just do it !!" . The whole ITSA Club (nationwide) are some of the best folks , Riders , and good times EVER !!! Always a enjoyable experience , no matter what bike or class your playing in .... And I think it has to do with the Fact that 99.9% of us completely understand and enjoy The vision of the association . Glenn
  12. Scott Taco : Where are you in these States we call united ? And a politically INCORRECT to every one , MERRY CHRISTMAS and A Feet up new year ! Glenn , Gotta go teach my 22 yr old daughter how her new street bike works ... (Suzuki tu250 , first street bike for her , but she has Trials experience .... ) As basic a bike as I could find these days .................
  13. Risk racing makes a similar tool that I've been using for a few years now ...
  14. Are we MOTO CROSSING this bike ????
  15. Make yourself happy !!!! and ride it !!!! Glenn
  16. Dingle ; If your set on a 300 get a new Mont 300 rr .The build quality will last for years with some proper luvin , And if the mapping switch works at all like it does on my Buddies early 250 Cota , (he knows some HRC engineers ,300 and some odd cc, and his bike is a hungry tiger in power mode and a tractable easy to control bike in the soft mode ..) I've been at this game for over 40 yrs now , and his is the most pleasant trials bike I've ever used. it will do anything you need suspension wise and will dislocate your shoulders if it's got traction . And I've always found 4t traction easier and smoother (although I compete on a sweet Fantic 240 ) Bottom line : Get a bike , Test ride a Few first , Then have some fun learning how to ride all over again ... Serious Trials is not easy .... But you will be better for the experiance !!! Glenn
  17. Airoh all the way , I just bough a street bike for my daughter so she can go do what she needs to do , and she got a Shoei , bur there wasn;t a airoh available nearby ... Best helmet i've ever used ....
  18. On second thought , I might be a ble to pull it off ... Gotta do the math , as my riding buddy will be in a military style school at that time .... And I still have to get him for the available weekend events too .... Sucks being a dad sometimes ....
  19. I wish I was , a few to many prior commitments ...
  20. I ran across this old thread in a search yesterday , and had to think , "boy time flies when your having fun " . And I realized it was the birth of our first international trials couple too Right Biff ? Glenn
  21. And if you look real close , I think you can spy Mr .Fracy playing about !! , And Sweet , Webb , ETC ...Ryans probably there somewhere too . And i've got to ask , was this about the start of the "HOP" era I missed ? And the dawn of the Mono's ? Glenn
