  2. BIG question ! is it worthwhile for a below average clubman?
  3. Have been out playing on the mont again last night, one thing i have noticed is the bike is running MUCH cooler since removal of inlet restrictor, the cooling fan is now running much less frequently. Is there any change in the fuel consumption of bike , with the mods done???
  4. Just done the mods as suggested, WOW what a difference only rode bike around the garden and up a small wall, I have had probs with the bike stalling occasionaly this tendancy has vanished and i can now have the tickover set much lower . There is now no popping or back firing on the over run . i rode a trial yesterday and had the bike flat out in top along a gravel track cant guess the speed it was doing but it wasent great. I am sure this will be improved . Thanks for the help
  5. So what is an S/w map? Slightly wimpish top end perhaps . If i remove the earth wire from this item and remove restrictor plate in the throttle body will this increase my top end power?
  6. You will be spoilt for choice living in Chester le Street, there is usually a saturday trial and always a sunday trial. or you can hop on the motrway and be in yorkshire in half an hour, loads of choice!
  7. Sounds like its running a bit rich, check air filter give the carb a good clean out , what oil are you running on ? make sure ratio is ok
  8. Can somebody tell me if there is a front sprocket gaurd available for the 4RT
  9. if you have a spark plug in it should be fairly hard to turn the engine over by hand, sounds like you have a top end prob !
  10. We found flags where a pain to carry round when practising, the best solution we found was an old army type havasack filled with about 24 stones around 2-3 " in diameter fairly flat, half painted blue and half painted red. easy to carry and didnt need hammering in . just lay them out and pick them up when ur finished

    Beta Rev 50

Your right about the auto renewal scheme . my son has a REV 80 , in all the years i have rode trials (to many to mention) I have never known a bike require as many spare parts as this one
  12. I have a 4 week old 4rt which is an 05 , i have just rode an 06 today and really cant tell much diff, the clutch is a touch lighter and smoother . I am well impressed with mine after years on the two strokes the 4rt is a leap forward like when the mono yam came out
  13. ive ridden a 315 for years and have just changed to a 4rt, i am amazed how hard it is to stall , it just keeps going at really slow speeds .
  14. Cant wait to see somebody try to ride with one on
  15. Having run a 315 for more years than i care to remeber, I can tell you that the bike is top drawer in the build quality dept. I have had no mechanical problems other than a back wheel partial collapse. Havent even had the head off !! just keeps running and runing
  16. Can Someone give me directions to the Guisborough Trial this evening at Carlton Bank ? Many Thanks

    Rev 80

I have a problem with keeping my sons beta rev 80 running consistently , We can go to a trial one week its fine and go to another and it fails to pick up cleanly, carb air filter are spotless , i have drained and refilled the petrol tank the ignition is dry and all connections are sound , When it runs ok the bike runs perfectly pulling cleanly right from the bottom end but when its acting up it wont pull cleanly from the bottom end and it struggles to rev out. any ideas?
  18. Look forward to watching you on a 50 im sure it will be intresting
  19. Thought you where maybe a tad to big for a beta 50
  20. I once saw a rider ( i wont mention his name lol) who lost his temper with the bike gave the bike a kick, and hey presto the carb came clean off. no tools or swet ( I dont think he used the opportunity to clean the jets though! )
  21. Mont 315 's are the toughest bikes EVER mine is nearly 8 years old if i was to own up to the lack of maintainence this bike has endured I would probably be put in jail
  22. there is a connection marked 9 on the wiring diagram. I would suggest that a lead joined in here and run to ground through the kill switch would do the job
  23. i tryed opening with various programs all i got was the sound track and blurred lines
