  2. I am not sure if my 175 Sherpa is the same there is a large diameter washer between the brake plate and swinging arm It is not that thick (2or 3mm). The speedo drive on the right side will depend on the type you are using ie (after market type)
  3. This is not uncommon on bultaco if the timing is slightly to advanced You kick it up and it kicks back it could be running forword or in reverse I once saw a villiers engined bike go up a big step and hit the lip flicking the engine to run backwards with a shocked rider in a heapat the foot of the step
  4. This frame mod was common copying the Miller hi boy frames some were well done others were bodged it gave more ground clearance The frame should be silver
  5. My kill switch is the yamaha type and has been disconnected cleaned the carb out again cleaned the coil connetions new plug re moved the flywheel cleaned inside checked wiring from stator it was rewound a while back but the bike has not been used much Will run it up again tonight
  6. My 200 Beta rev 3is doing the same It started to do this after the last section of the trial half way up the hill I thought at the time it was a plug, water or dirt in carb as it misses at higher revs Havent traced the fault yet
  7. According to the Hayes manual the bore is 83`2 stroke 60mm for the 325 (326cc) Sherpa this could vary on later models I had an early 325 and the piston went up in .25mm up to 1mm
  8. You youngsters can't use proper measurements can you
  9. I know a couple of classic scrambler on BSA Gold Stars that use the BTH unit this unit is self generating so no outside power is needed There are other types as supplied by SRM that fit in your old mag I looked at these systems but ended getting the mag redone for my AJS & BSA B31
  10. Sounds like to much end float Remove the clutch side case check the primery gear on crank is not loose or bearing on that side that has failed

    Decompresor

I had one fitted to an early 325 The head has to be machined for another 14mm plug hole there is advantages dropping down long hills but when released the engine fires up with a surge using up the unburnt fuel and can put you off balance The can also get dirt on the seat and stick open Plus the head gets fuel and oil sprayed over it
  12. My 175 bultaco sherpa also has 4 wires 1feeds the HT coil the others are for the lights horn ect My HT generator coil has another coil wound over the top so is like 2 coils in one the other lighting coil is the normal type All other bultacos I have had did not have the this type The wiring goes into a biscuit block under the tank so isolating the unused wires if no lights are fitted any problems I will have to remove tank as to the colours
  13. According to haynes manual it should be11/46 It is like it has been gear for the roador trail
  14. Go to TC Forum then go to bultaco then on to the section marked lights this should help

  16. Check throttle cable for damage and is sitting the end properly Snapping the throttle shut you should here a click at the carb as the slide hits the stop The inner cable or slide could be sticking
  17. I had a 76 250 and it had a red tank and panels/airbox. The frame was silver and forks plan alloy as are the yokes although later ones had black forks hope this is some help

  19. I had a 99 315r It was reliable but I could not do more than three laps before it took over I have a 03 Beta 200 it suits my riding style My friend has an 08 200 Beta and I cannot ride it as the set up is different in both power and suspension You will just try them out to find what suits you both Beta and the 315r are well put together
  20. The spindle bolt head goes agains the split bush on the left side.Recessed flush with outside of the fork There is another spacer held between the bearing and seal on that side The nut is also recessed in the fork there is no spacers between the the brake plate and the right fork leg.Watch the wheel does not rub against the fork slider as the spokes pull through the hub when it is worn
  21. Look on the form under Classic trials Bultaco front wheel of centre There is a picture of a199A slider they should be similar
