O.K. this may sound stupid but, at the last trial my bike wouldn't start after I walked a section . After many kicks I talked to another 4rt owner and he said to put the throttle wide open and then let it go, then the next time you kick it hold the throttle open just ever so slightly. I didn't think it would work but it started first try He said it reset the computer or somthing, Mine has been fine since Just a thought.

From Parts Unlimited? Was that for a Gas Gas Enduro bike?
-
O.K., I just figured out how to do it from the front page (I don't usally go there) It worked just fine. I would have done it a long time ago if we had the option from the forum area.
BTW, with the exchange rate it was just over $20.00 U.S. dollars, still no big deal

No matter what sport I am in we're always up against Texas. We need a little recount, I bought one and Doc bought two so that makes three for Ca., where's the high ranked NATC official from? I think Lane better hurry or there will bo none left
-
WOW, that's what my three year old son says all day he is such a momma's boy
-
:agree: I had the V-mar on my Beta and now my 4rt and it is a great product. You can also get diffrent risers to change the height, which is nice
-
Maybe I have been lucky, but I've had three Betas and zero stator problems and only one leaked fuel bad and on that one I did the fix in the forums and no more problems after that. They're very nice bikes
-
Ya, that's the wrong letters, I couldn't read the bike eithier. I had to call RYP because I lost the MSO for my '06 Sherco that I had sold and the new owner needed it. I gave them the wrong number too and in a few days the new MSO came with the correct numbers It's kind of cool you also get a Ryan Young autograph with it
-
The '06 that I had was * 5AD* as 10th, 11th & 12th

I bought my bike used and it came preprogramed with a soft map that Dennis Sweete used at the SSDT and a more aggresive than stock map. I haven't messed with any of that yet, so I am not sure what maps they are. I plan to play with all that in the future. I can for sure feel a diffrence though when I switch it.
I was also told the same thing, you can only see the last program installed.
Fantic303's graph's looked cool, I might need more of a explanation of what it all means though, It looked like a good system
-
:agree: Just use the recommended oil
-
Ridgecerst might be a nice town, but that is no place for a world class trial. It's totaly flat desert with rock piles here and there, it's no comparision to Donner or the TTC. Besides can you imagine being out there in the summer?
It was so secret that we missed it I think there are three young team members that are not as good as you yet that could use some training
-
Yes it changes while running. If your maps are too close togther you may not feel the diffrence, try two extremely diffrent maps
-
I have the Mintani muffler and it is much quietier than the stock muffler with the end restricter still in place. Not cheap though
-
For having such good riders you must not have good riding areas It was alright, but nothing that great. What's he going to think if he ever makes it to Donner?
Oh, and that wasn't Death Valley
-
I keep reading that, are they lower? and if so how much? can you feel the diffrence? I biggest problem with the '06 was the pegs where too high.
-
After riding a Beta for so many years, when I am not thinking I still reach down on the left for the kickstarter on my 4rt My daughter sitting next to me wanted to see the rendeer
-
Don't you have a picture of your pretty bike to show everybody
-
Yes, but a trials bike it sucks through the "inside" first and the corse outside is facing down the airboot.
-
jsp,
Your bike sounds a lot like mine
The bike that I bought from Lewisport had the Jitsie filter and no flame gaurd. I don't even know what one looks like!
As I was cleaning the Jitsie filter it occured to me that the filter is built inside out! All the motocross bike filters have the course foam on the outside to catch the big stuff and the fine foam on the inside for the little stuff, the Jitsie filter is the other way around, it goes threw the fine foam first and the course foam second. Anybody else think this is odd?

My bike has a 44 rear sprocket and it seems perfect. I have ridden one with a 9 on the front and it was too low for me. Use the recommended Elf oil in the tranny, it makes a diffrence.
Please put the end cap in, they are annoying for other people to listen to without it. I really like my Mitani muffler, lighter, more power and it's quieter than the stock muffler that still has a end cap It costs a lot though. The 2 stage mappable EFI is well worth the money, if you don't like the power curve just change it
-
Meet http://www.ashleyfiolek.com/ she is a deaf motocrosser
-
With the 4rt you don't need to know how to work on it, as you don't need to work on any of that stuff. That's the best thing about this bike It's nothing to be scared of

My parents always ground into my head from a young age to always wear a helmet no matter what! To this day even if I'm just warming up my daughters ttr 50 with training wheels I make sure to put one on. I am always disturbed when I see guys (or girls) riding without a helmet wheather it be on a 50, trials bike or a four wheeler, and that goes double for when kids are around. A couple examples lately here on the internet that I was suprised to see was R2wtrials on the Beta 4t with no helmet and what I think was worse was a video on the Trials Training Center web site of Laia Sanz riding at the TTC with no helmet. I know she was not doing anything tuff for her, but there where a lot of young girls around and things happen. IMO she should have not been allowed to ride without a helmet, World Champion or not! Then to put video of that on the web is even worse. I don't mean to be picking on R2wtrials and I really don't want to say anything bad about the TTC, these are just two examples I have seen lately. I grew up riding at a private motorcycle club and out there you don't even start your bike without a helmet and I'm suprised more areas don't have that rule. We now have trials out there at that club and some of the vintage trials guys are the worse, they say "I'm just warming up my bike in first gear" even after you tell them and they see all the signs. I know trials is slow, and I may be anel, but I just had to say somthing

Ya, I just got my bill today for my new rear fender...$168.95 I think he said a stock 4rt fender is around $156.00 or somthing, so it's not too much for a 4rt fender
