  1. Hey all, I have been having running problems with my 06 125. Every time I crack the throttle it bogs terribly. If I keep the throotle open the motor will just die, it has been like this from new in Nov 06 but just recently it has got much worse. I have emailed Kev at gasgas to make sure I am running the recomended setup which I am. Which is main 105, pilot 36 D36 needle with clip next to bottom, slide 50, fuel screw approx 3 turns out.... I thought I had this sorted a while back. After experimenting with carb settings I found that if I had the needle on the bottom notch (most rich) and the fuel screw about 4 turns out, it would pick up ok and relatively cleanly. Although the plug was black and sooty before experimenting it still wanted to be richened up to make it run any better! The thermostat then packed in and I had to wire the fan to be permenantly on for a couple of trials before I got the new part. This is when it started running bad again. I now have the new thermostat in and it is worse still! It will bog constantly. I have tried every notch on the needle and the mix screw from 2 and 1/2 turns out up to 4 on the above jets and it runs just as bad on all of them! I have put the carb back to Kev's recomendations! Still loads of bogging making the bike want to die all the time! (I know the bad running might just be coincidence with the thermostat) I also have boyeson reeds fitted but it was the same with the standard ones! I have put new plugs in, no difference! Carb is clean! So now I am not so sure it is carburation! Please can someone help! It makes me want to torch the thing! Cheers, Sean
  2. yes! And the first Ryan Young one covers everything! From very basic and up!
  3. I have a gasgas and that slipped off my wall at home and the tank took the hit! Massive great dent in it and sliced straight through the decal! Frame didn't get touched what so ever! Lucky I suppose could have been both! lol I guess the tank is always at risk on any bike!
  4. I do agree with this completely but I am sure people will find a way of screwing over the sport! There is always someone else ready to **** on the fire!
  5. Why would anyone let a bike like that? I know dinks and dents aren't easily sorted and new plastics are fairly expensive but a squirt of gt85 after wasking goes along way and is not going to brake the bank!
  6. Top job dags88! I hyave to agree with barry and bilco(from bikespaces topic) about not advertising the practice grounds on the net. I think getting the info. by word of mouth is much safer as far as the land is concerned. Although people are desperate to find places to practice, if you just enter a couple of trials, have a litlle chat to a few people and I'm sure you would be able to find a couple of places to practice.
  7. Yer I bet you are! You jammy git! lol
  8. i have used baby powder on my throttle tube before! Worked like a charm and was really smooth! Same prinsiple(sp?) as graphite powder I suppose!
  9. The master cylinder is the one you put the action into, (ie. the lever). The slave is the piston that moves down the other end of the hose and relays your imput on the lever to an output acting on something (ie. the clutch). Hope that makes sense!
  10. Hi! No need to drain gearbox oil just lay the bike down on some blankets. Remove all bolts around the clutch casing and water pump. (no need to drain coolant, contained in pump and sealed) With a twelve point 7mm socket remove the small bolts around the clutch, keep these safe they get lost very easily! lol Remove the spring and retaining ring that the bolts go through. Remove the thick outer plate and the little fingers that point to the center of the clutch. The clutch plates will now be able to be removed! (3 fibre, 2 steel) With a vernier calliper or micrometer measure the thickness of the clutch pack. It should be between 9.75mm and 9.85mm. Any more than this the clutch will drag, any less may slip and will be heavier than is meant to be! Sorry don't know how much a different stell plate is! Hope this helps you out mate! cheers, Sean P.S Remember to buy a new clutch case gasket before doing it as the old one, if anythig like mine, may self destruct while removing!
  11. Nice one! Hope all goes well!

i should think there will be two metal bands on the inside of those rivets that the jubilee clips should go through! At least that is how it was on my gasser one!
  13. I was just going to ask if the fella in the Audi was hurt! Did you get hurt in the Astra?
  14. I have ridden my mates 06 racing and they feel lush! I find I can really tell the difference with the ohlins shock and lighter swing arm! I was told they had a higher compression head and electric upgrade to allow them to rev-harder but this just may have been rumours and I'm not sure on this! Hope tomorow goes well NYL!
  15. Mmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnn! Those plastics are skimpy! I love the stripped back look!
  16. I wondered why my ears are ringing?
  17. My bad! The 06 did though didn't it? Aren't the alluminium forks the same as the 250 ones? So they are for heavier/harder riders,so they have a harder spring rate and that? Are you going to buy one NYL?
  18. Don't they come with the ohlins shock fitted aswell? Surely this must make a difference! I would say if you can stretch the
