Sticking Throttle
It also could be the throttle tube is cracked or full of dirt.

Sticking Throttle
Bad cable, dirty carb or bent needle.

Kawasaki Kt250 Front Forks
A few bikes have a cap that breathes. I would not worry unless it leaks all over.

Yamaha Ty250 Squeaking Noise Help Please
Is it a Mono or a twin shock. Sounds like the chain, chain tensioner or suspension. Did you adjust the chain after you got the bike?
-
200 Vs 300
It does not have a smaller jug, just more usable power. Remember the Beta 200 started as a 250 and become a 200.

What Did You Do To Your Fantic Twin Or Mono Shock Today !
Have you ever had a Fantic? Mine has a one finger, easier than my son`s pro gas gas. Just finished a 24 mile trial riding with only modern bikes. Besides being way hot, being air-cooled, it worked just fine. It was practice for our ITSA finale for the year. The old twin shocks are even better with a working clutch. Not using the clutch went away in the late seventy`s.

Beta Techno Rear Fender
94 thru 97 will fit. I believe the sub frame changed in `98. If is only cracked or split in two, patch it up with zip ties.

Ready To Nuke My Gas Gas
Sounds like you are going in the right direction. Must have been an early `04 to have that carb on it.

Xpro Atc Throttle Tubes? Do They Work?
The speed of a throttle tube has no correlation to a flywheel weight. I would try the two together! Not the first idea on this, but a fine looking product.

First Ride Impressions Ossa Factory
Oh one minor gripe.. you can't seem to tell how much fuel is in the tank so no idea if you are about to run out or not. a sight window might have been a nice touch. Look at all the Gas Gas pro`s. You can`t see the level in most of them either. Just top the tank and go. No worries.

New Mains Now Gears Wont Engage Help!
Usually you leave the selector in neutral while assembling to make sure everything is free and clear. Good luck, I`m sure you will get it. Just don`t tear the center case gasket.

2002 Pro Output Shaft Seal
When the pro first came out we left that bolt out for more flow. Plus we were always fixing the clutch, so it just made it easier.

Dmv No Likey My Vin #
I believe Gas Gas goes by Iso 3780 standards and California goes by North America standards. Cali dmv is just not smart enough to recognize the Europe standard.

Early Air Cooled Mono Engine In A Twinshock Ty?
So why do you not just rebuild it. The cases are bad?

Ready To Give Up On My 280Pro
The vents are correct then.

Enduro On A Trials Bike?
(I'm not that comfortable with speed, I thought a bit of competition might get me going and improve my confidence.) Entering a competition is not the `HOW` in learn to ride.

Ready To Give Up On My 280Pro
It still could be something else, but that is where I would start.
-
Ready To Give Up On My 280Pro
A 12 year old Pro, first thing I would do is pull off the mag cover. Grab the flywheel and move it vertically for play. Any play would suggest mains and seals. Also are the vents to the carb clear and where do the hoses route to.

Dmv No Likey My Vin #
Seems I remember through the rumor mill that the importer had to re-do the vin for cali bikes. Did your bike come from another state?

Ready To Nuke My Gas Gas
Are you sure that is not the 200. ( It also looks like a 2003?) Hard to tell by the vid. You can tell by the vin number. Most people ran a 38 pilot on the 280. At sea level the 107 would be way lean.

Ready To Nuke My Gas Gas
Need to know what jets are currently in it and at what elevation you ride to decide which way might benefit the jetting of your bike.
-
Cutting Out When Hot
Put the old fan back in. Do not over heat it. Sometimes you can push start a bad fan. Try it just to see how it runs. Or you could just buy the right one.

Ready To Nuke My Gas Gas
(The problem is at idle with throttle closed. I talked to someone about a different pilot and he said the fuel screw covered the range of several pilot jets so if the screw is not getting me any benefit this is not the problem.) That statement came from someone with NO jetting experience. So you are going to replace the top end without knowing you have the right jets! Just send me your credit card info and I can fix it! P.S. If the exhaust is plugged up it will feel lethargic.

Found This On My Drain Plug.... Do I Need To Split Engine?
It is MT280236162 on the primary shaft. Replace all needle bearings on the primary. Much cheaper than a complete tranny.
