  1. Did you put the piston in backwards?
  2. I am thinking you have not enough free play, so the piston is not traveling far enough. You can take the M/C cylinder lid and inspect the movement by the holes that feed fluid to the piston. Usually with the lid off it will push a little fluid almost airborne. This would be a good time to just take the lever off and pump it with a screwdriver. I bet you get some air out of the system.
  3. Pretty sure the cap on those are marked wrong. It has an arrow going the opposite direction.
  4. The rebuild kit is the first fix. Many of these have been problematic over the years. Some repair them, or replace with another M/C.
  5. It has become boring. That is what makes trials interesting, riding NEW sections all the time. Not showing up at the local track riding in the same circle.
  6. The youth has never been the future. It takes money for any motorsports. The club riders are the one`s that carry any event. The only good thing about youths, they are the future Champions. Not the bread and butter that pays the bills. You need to get the parent`s riding if they are not already. Most of the youth`s that will become future clubriders ( members) come from trials families in the first place.
  7. If X trial does not change it`s rules it may not exist much longer after last nights boring event. Bou 7 Busto 23 That is not much excitement. They will need to start paying Bou more money to look as bad as the normal riders! At least in a four man format, it could be a fight for second.

    Beta evo fork top

It only needs to be hand tight. The o ring seals it. That is how I know when somebody else has been in a fork.
  9. Faussy brings up a great point. The jetting could of been off due to air leaks. Go to a 118 main and a 38 pilot.
  10. Pull the exhaust header off to see what damage is done to the piston. Typically you also shear the key on the flywheel.
  11. You are disassembling the dog bones and linkage to do this? My 1992 Beta zero had grease zerks. Been downhill with the bikes ever since. LOL.
  12. I hope you are just moving to a remote location with your grand kids that is just internet challenged. Be well.

    Older gas

Our fuel is crap. So I would replace it. You can always put it in a vehicle with a larger tank.
  14. So why did you bleed the brake in the first place? Nothing that hard bleeding brakes. (Just most people are not very patient) The stuck piston is an issue though. Most rear brake problems are really just worn out pads.
  15. Is it the end of the WTC series? Maybe in the near future. The two extremes should split. No loop trials and long loop trials. Hop and bop vs traditional. Sad but true.
  16. https://www.splatshop.co.uk/stator-repair-exchange-beta-99-to-02.html Out of stock, but more info. Nobody in the states are good at this stator as far as I know, the trigger is the issue. I would pull the stator and double check all bolts for corrosion. These bikes really did not have as many stator problems in the states. Most of the stator problems were from moisture issues.
  17. If it has a Kiehin, it could be crap in the tower block.

  19. You ride around for a few minutes heating up the disc and pads and throw a small bucket of water on same. You should have great brakes instantly or you have a real problem.
  20. I have seen the water trick done hundreds of times with no problems. First time I ever saw it done was by a world champion. Tying up the brakes is for air bubbles. The water trick is for pads and rotors.
  21. The bratec is the problem on some. My sons TRRS the braktechs are awesome. But my whole Braktech system sits in my trailor as spare parts.
  22. I found used parts. A good dealer can find them too.
