Nice SWM on t'bay
Yeah, but stainless spokes never give any trouble in a trials wheel unless you're a bit of a ham fisted numpty. Loads of people use them no probs, it's a bit like the old "don't use fairy liquid to wash your bike 'coz it will rust" In reality this never happens.

Coppa Slip
I have used coppaslip on rotax engines for 15 years with no problems, works really well on the various engine/case bolts that you don't want to sieze in place.

Thanks Andy. Interesting tie for the win in the twinshock class between Kev Nolan & Chris Koch, is Chris still riding the "cheat bike" against the other twinshocks?

World X-Trial, Barcelona on TV.
Was a more interesting course than marseille, Bou is simply unstoppable. One thing winds me up though, the bl**dy camerawork! whats the point of zooming right in on the knobbles on the tyres, or the riders eyes so as soon as they move the cameras miss the bl@@dy action!!!!!

sherco water problem
If it's spit all its water out you have a major problem, don't ride it until you find out what is pressurizing the cooling system.
-
maintenance
I don't use anything, i find spraying stuff like like WD40 all over the bike just makes dust & dirt stick to it until it looks a mess.

Help sherco 250
I'd bet my lunch that its the stator, given that it seems to be ok until it warms up. Just like mine did.

Help sherco 250
What year sherco is it? Older ones suffer from ignition stator failure which, in the early stages can result in odd variable timing behaviour.

- Kickstart mechanism
A handy way to solve the kickstart problem is to weld a little extension on to the sump guard so the kickstarter stops against that, instead of hitting the clutch case.- TY250 Mono Plastic Tank Stickers
Do they work though?- Montesa 348 Cota
Hi, maybe post in the montesa or twinshock section of the forum?- Lightweight Custom SWM Jumbo Center Box.
Which weight is loose? Flywheel?- sheffield punchers
After the first reply I thought all the other riders had someone to punch the opposition except Toni Bou! PUNCTURES!- new guy
Do any modifications for yourself, not to try and increase the value of the bike. You will never recoup any of the money you spent "tricking up" your bike. In fact a lot of buyers may be put off by such a machine as it may not be to everyones taste. Do post a pic though!- Mornin' all (another new guy)
Welcome to TC! Top tips for your first trial: Get there early so you can sort yourself & your gear & entry out. Tyres 4 PSI rear, 6 or 7 PSI front. Drink plenty of fluids before & during the trial. Watch the other riders through the sections carefully & try to copy them. Don't be afraid to ask the observer for a 5 if you don't fancy tackling a hard section, no-one cares. Don't give up even if you have lost hundreds of marks, enjoying yourself is the most important thing!!! Come back here and tell us how you did - Kickstart mechanism
