Rode one back in the early 90's as I recall. San Diego Trials dealer was given one as a demo and we all took a turn on it. Nobody had any kind comments about it.

I don't recall the earlier TXT Gas Gas having anywhere near the transmission problems as the lighter, new and improved Pro Model. So much for light weight.

Saw him last at El Trial about 8 years ago, he was spectating. He had a bike the other day, although he didn't compete.

Pascal Couturier was on the Fantic in Texas. Cordonnier was on SWM (ck out Bernie's Book pg 101) Duane Walters received one of the Works Fantics after the event. He just showed up at our last Trial here in S. Cal. I will ask him for any details of the bike next time I see him.

Hey Cope..........I hear ya.....but do you ever get tired of working on someone else's ideas (or sh_t). My first version of this was in 1997 and it has changed dramatically since then. I have ridden all the 4 strokes as they came along and they are all fantastic bikes, (actually the Sherco was my favorite) but always feel I would change something.........I never worry about the sanity of cutting up a $8K + beauty (which used to be a bad habit of mine) As for the rear fender, its from a 300 Fantic because I always liked the flat transition from seat to fender as I like to sit my tired old ass down when riding the loop.

Sounds like fuel supply to carb is partially blocked by maybe a fuel filter (carb runs out of gas then slowly refills........repeat)
