  1. Or his tank has grown due to alcohol laced fuel
  2. The rims can corrode where the tape fits into the groove & then they don't seal any more, my Jarvis has it starting to happen on 1 of the rims & keeping things sealed is a major job
  3. Unfortunately Honda decided the class rules & wanted to use stuff they already had with the minimal amount of extra work needed, I think if they thought it wouldn't have been so obvious that moto3 would have been a mirror image of moto2 using crf250 motors. My wife enjoyed going to Phillip Island last year & would go again but I'm not so sure I will be once it's all four strokes farting around the track
  4. See if you can find where this came from http://ozvmx.com/community/index.php?topic=13130.msg208813#new
  5. Pretty sure it wasn't Stefan, he's never ridden for KTM, mainly Yamahas since he moved to Oz
  6. And they run carbs that don't require a large dose of electricity to start the fuel moving. Once you're used to any bikes starting ritual such as preloading the kickstart on a gasser to protect the mechanism it all becomes second nature
  7. A Sherco thats feels heavy in the front end, now I've heard everything
  8. First thing I was told when I had my first ride on 1 earlier this year was to leave the throttle alone, take your hand off the bars next time & see what happens. Ask Peter if he agrees that this helps,it was Kevin down here in the Manawatu that told me that trick The fuel injection apppears to not like getting signals that the throttle is open while being kicked over, bikes with electric starts hide this because the motor keeps spinning over longer, I'm not sure what the latest model injected mx bikes are like to start but imagine they would be similar
  9. A blonde is showing off her new tattoo of a giant sea shell on her inner thigh. Her friend asks her why she would get a tattoo in that location. She responds , 'It's really cool. If you put your left ear up against it, you can smell the ocean'
  10. I would have thought that the bike shouldn't be able to flood with the engine off seeing as the 2010s have the rear mounted tanks & use a vacuum operated fuel pump Or am I missing something here?

    TR 280

Any time I've ridden a Ossa the clutch hasn't been a issue, I'm sure it's a set up thing as it's much the same as a gas gas. I thought the first pro model gas gas clutch was like a light switch but the second ride I had on it was much better after the owner had done some adjustment, his is the Ossa I've ridden a couple of times
  12. Laguna Seca proved the boy wants the title alright, there wasn't much track left where he passed Lorenzo & to then pull away by a consistent .8 of a second every lap until the flag meant he was out to prove a point. To be honest after the first few laps I'd written him off as he trailed Pedrosa & looked to be struggling to keep up, must have been waiting for the bike to come to him or at least work out where the others weren't as strong
  13. Does anyone know who can supply parts for Airoh CH3 helmets, I've managed to lose 1 of the side vent covers off mine
  14. Before you remove your stator have a look at the readings splatshop have listed below. Can be done with the connections unplugged but everything still in the bike http://www.splatshop.co.uk/stator-repair-exchange-new-style.html
  15. I'm pretty sure the reed valve in the TY250 is the same as a DT250 of the same age which may make it easier to find out
  16. Go the cable tie route, I always have a couple of pairs tucked away in the crossbar pad Ditching the screws was 1 of the first things the importer told me to do when I bought my first Sherco
  17. Later model guards do fit, looks to have a fairly late model white guard on it to me When I had a 01 I ended up fitting the later model front caliper for an improved brake, you need to change the disc guard at the same time though
  18. Just finished my first season of pre75 over here in NZ on a 73 CZ400, have been told there will a few events on over the winter. Has been a whole heap of fun & a good way of keeping the interest up with trials as I had been getting a bit jaded lately
  19. On the 04 towards the rear wheel is off, straight down is on & towards the front is reserve

    Boyesen Reeds

Can't say how the Boyesens perform but I've run a V-Force reed block set up for around 6 years now, works really well
  21. I'm guessing by the riders reaction when they spin apart that the throttle cable ripped off
  22. I managed to pinch 2 different tubes a number of times at national level trial last year, even managed it again when I got home 3 hours later. Some days it doesn't pay to get out of the motel bed
  23. Could be worth trying Kevin Breedon Racing if you don't mind using aftermarket parts although they could be from the same manufacturer that Sherco uses
