Hi all, have just bought a 2005 sy250 that I need to put a kill button on. Not knowing electrics can anyone tell me where i need to put the wires. I know one has to be earthed to the frame but where does the other one get put. I have removed tank and rear mudgaurd and I am faced with 3 spare connectors. The first has black/white/brown wires, this seems to be the one which would do the rear light by its length. The second one has red/white/black and the third has white/red. are any of these the one or is there somewhere else I should be looking. thanks Steve NO WORRIES HAVE FITTED AND WORKING WELL.

Can any one tell me how much the top of my forks should protrude through the top yoke? I have an 07 scorpa, i was sat in a que yesterday waiting to ride a section and the guy next to me advised me to raise them to a scribed mark, about 5 mm down from the top of the fork leg, then to move the bars froward more. What efect will this have?

Hi there, this is my first post so go easy on me folks! Can someone advise please with a couple of issues. 1. I've refitted the carb on my 2001 SY250 2 stroke after fitting a new clutch slave cylinder & I'm not sure the best side to run the carb breather pipes (having replaced them). If I run the right one down the right side it's in the way when operating the choke plunger but running both over to the left side takes them too close to the exhaust for my liking. I do have the three pipes held together under the carb but didn't pay enough attention when stripping it down. (I have the manual but the exploded diagrams don't help on this one.) 2. Also I would find d…

OK guys only had the bike a few weeks now if that. Done about 5 hours on the bike and tjought it was time to get the oil changed. So out the back I went and warmed up the engine. To my shock and horror when the oil started to come out it was a yellow/green colour. I also got a quantity of say around 1.5 litres . So how does this happen, is it the Water pump seal etc. If so anyone know where to get it and how much. Thanks in advance guys, Cheers Kevin!!!!

Hi All, Looking for some help here. I've always thought my clutch heavy, I don't notice so much when starting out but by end of trials my grip and clutch finger is knackered. Today a guy also with same year scorpa as mine rode it and he said that the clutch was heavy. We both use the same 10w40 gear oil, but i have a bigger master cylinder. Any suggestions welcome

Hi All. Does anyone know where i can source some carbon fiber self adhesive protectors to go on the scorpa frame. I have just changed to an 07 scorpa from an 03. The 03 suffered from the frame being warn by my boots, on both sides up from the foot pegs, i would rather not have this happen to the new bike. I have seen an 06 scorpa for sale on ebay that seemed to have some fitted so they must be available. Any info appreciated.

Hi fellow SY250 owners, I'm going to treat my bike to a new airfilter! Has anyone used aftermarket versions, Apico, Jitsie etc. or is genuine the way to go? Any comments?

Hi everybody, hope you've all had a good year & have a good new year.Right down to buisness i'm goin to strip my Scorpa sy 2001 for a service. I was wondering how much a piston & rings are as i think mine has got a bit of slap, all my mates who i ride with say it sounds fine but i think it sounds a bit ratley. The bike starts 2nd kick every time from cold & still has loads of power, but i think its time to pamper her after giving me a good years riding with just a few hickups, like a sheard woodruffkey & tempremntal rear brake ( new banjos job sorted) & cracked my tank where kick start sits, fixed with areldite & fiberglass. Not bad for a years ridi…

I am in the middle of rebuilding a Scorpa easy (1997 yellow and grey) and have discovered a crack in the swing arm about an inch or so from the axle end. This is a bummer as I have everything I need for the rebuild and so far it has not cost much but I suspect that might all change if I have to buy a new swing arm. The bike will never be worth much so I would like to avoid the expense of a new swing arm, does anyone out there have a spare for sale or know if they can be repaired (cost effectively) ? An alternative would be if anyone has a whole bike for spares or repair, at least that way I could have a stock of other parts should anything else let go.
