Scorpa

I'm looking at a 2004 or a 2007 SY250. Other than the color schemes and flat skid plate on the 2007 what are the differences between the 2004 and the 2007 models? Are the 2008's much different other than the new aluminim fork? Anything that mere mortal would notice?

Riding my 1999 scorpa easy yesterday and it kept stopping, It started up again no problem this happened 6 or 7 times, then it died , not to start again, no spark i checked all connections etc changed plug no joy,checked cap and lead . I joined the wires from the temp sender and noticed when i kicked it over that the fan was starting to spin so i am guessing that the stator is generating power. Can anybody recommend the next step ? Can i test the black box under the tank and what is that analogue thing under seat I can see the pounds mounting up if i just start throwing bits at it hope anybody can point me in the right direction thankyou jezzyb

I am going to replace the headset bearings in my 05 sy as the steering is notchy. cant i get them from a bearings dealer (if so has anyone got a part number) or is it a birkets job?

Hi All Well ive got my money and have the chance of a 4 stroke 07, do you think this will be ok for a novice trials rider? I come from a moto X background but have only road 2 stokes. Looking for your advice yet again. Cheers Shrub

Hi Everyone here seems to be very helpfull , so I wonder if you could help me with a few questions . I have just purchased an 03 sy250 and ridden it once and LOVE it , having just switched from enduro i dindnt think the motor was very "revvey" , I have read alot of the posts and it appears this may be normal for a u.k. version , I have also read there are some imported versions available with lighter flywheels and advanced timing . my questions are: 1) my bike has stickers on wich read "sy racing" do they all have this or is this a racing/import model ? 2)should i worry about it (if it aint broke.............)? any anwers would be greatly appreciated

What size allen key /hex wrench is needed for the front axle on a scorpa SY 250 05??????

Recently, my fan was not working. I disconnected the wires on the t-stat and wired them together. Started the bike and the fan now works. Is it safe to assume the thermostat needs to be replaced? Thanks

I am contemplating purchasing a new 2008 model 200F. Having read a couple of tests in TMX and YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. (2) Having trawled through this forum, it seems that the 175F benefitted from so called 'Birkett Mods'. Does anybody know if the 200F now comes with Birkett Mods as standard or what? Hi guys, this has probably been asked/covered before so i apologise in advance if ti has, but im new to trials and am currently riding a gas gas pro 250 (2005) which rides brilliantly (not that i have too much to compare it too), however im not overly impressed with the build quality and am considering a swap to scorpa sy250, probably around the 2007 model, can any of you guys tell me how something like my gas gas would compare to the scorpa to ride?

I know that TBM magazine have written an article on the T Ride, but I was wondering if anyone elxe has actually ridden one yet? TBM seem to think that whilst the T Ride is a capable trail bike, it won't be much use for trials. I was hoping that it would be a little more trials orientated and therefore be a good Long Distance Trial machine. Like the Gas Gas Pampera but a fourstroke Yamaha. Has anyone got one for LDT's? I'd like to hear how you find it.

Hi everybody been out of trials for a lot of years and just got myself a scorpa easy 1999 very impressed , However i am unsure of the engine size was told it is a 250cc when i bought it but i have seen 1999 scorpa easy advertised at 280cc can anybody tell me the engine size is there any markings etc thankyou jezzyb

Hi - a friend has snapped off the gearchange shaft on his 2002 SY-250 Any advice on what is involved to replace this would be appreciated i.e. is DIY possible? Any additional parts required? Special tools required? Any ideas on parts costs? I am fairly confident with mechanical things, but I don't want to strip it all apart and then have to take it to a dealer in bits because I get stuck

Hello folks, I have an '07 175F which is road reg'd but cant find anyone who will insure me, none of the insurers mentioned on this site(bennetts, carol nash, etc) have it on there books!!!! they all seem to have the 125 but not the 175, has anyone got a road reg'd 175 insured????? who is it with???# thanks in advance Spike

I am picking my new Scorpa SY200 up next week.How is the jetting on the 200,I know with my SY 175 had to change things a bit.And was wondering if the 10 tooth countershaft sprocket is needed also.Gear change did a lot on the 175.Thanks JR
