Hi guys, my little brother has a sy250 2005 he saved real hard for it, but is getting turned off trials by the way its behaving on him. he has had a few minor problems with it all from him falling off but this cultch is a no go. At first we thought it needed bleed, tried this for ages with no joy. the slave cylinder does not move at all when moving the clutch lever. when we were bleeding it there seemed to be no pressure when i would release the air (just a drip of fulid would this be normal). anyone with any ideas or have had this problem. Does he need a new slave cylinder? how much are they?

Hi guys, just wondering how exactly the ignition timing is changed on my 06 sy250. Took the ignition cover off and all I see is flywheel. I take it I need to remove the flywheel to get to the relevant parts. Then what do I change and in what direction. I done a few searches online and I can't get a definate description of the process or any pics to help me. Cheers lads.

What steps are you guys taking to prevent this? Currently, the thropttle cable, clutch line and kill switch all get squished when the bars are turned full lock to the right? Rerouting the cable doesn't work as they are too short. Thanks for the help.

I am just about to put a new set of tyres on my sy, i have an x11 for the rear but am unsure of what to put on the front.. i know most of you guys will just tell me to put a mich on the front too, but i have been told that some of the cheaper tyres are just as good on the front. i am probably the skintest rider in the uk.. if not a close second to tt5th As always any feedback would be great as i value your opinions.

I've got a 2008 SYR and a 2007 Rev3 (both 250cc 2t's) and both bikes have there strengths and weaknesses. From my own riding perspective i'd like to know if any of you guys know how i can improve both bikes to suit my riding style, which is a novice hopper. Firstly the SYR: The rear wheel does not hop that easy left and right (not as easy as the beta) what adjustments can i make to rear shock to make it more bouncy? Secondly the Rev3: The clutch is still too snatchy i've tried three different brands of gear box oil but neither make any difference to how the clutch operates, or as smooth as the SYR?

  14. Hi guys, I have not posted on here for probably almost a year now, because Iam now at University and as such cannot ride very often at all (maybe three times a year). I have an Sy250 (04) which at first I was going to sell but then changed my mind as its probably not worth that much being quite an old bike now. Anyway I was hoping to compete next weekend and have just gone and done some minor maintenance on it. I then fired it up and found the clutch was working but not enough to hold it still without an aggressive stall. I realise that bikes take time for the clutch to warm up but normally I just leave it to stand for five mins, pump the clutch a few times and off I go.…

Just back from a six weeks European trip with two TRides. Both bikes did not miss a beat & were great! We followed European place recommendations suggested by Trail Bike Magazine. (More of that in another post) It took a few real good rides to learn about them & the six weeks to work out their soul. Both bikes we derestricted: ECU modified, air box opened, larger main jet & exhaust restrictor removed. I made up slow action throttles for the bikes using a domino fast action trials throttles, as I enjoy the ability for more precise feeling

I've got a 2002 SY250 Long Ride. Does anyone know what part number Wiseco fits this beast? Also, does anyone know if any other brand's rad cap fits this rad? My overflow hose broke, and I'm hoping to find one that's a little slimmer than this one. Jon

My sy250r has a faulty clutch lever arm, (Thats the bit that that links the slave cylinder to the clutch push rod inside the engine), the crank on the top has slipped around the shaft and when you apply the clutch lever pressure it does not clear the clutch sufficiently, it has been adjusted to the limit, i.e the slave piston reaches the point that "O" ring is exitng the cylinder and causes loss of fluid. I have the new components and will do the job in the morning, Scorpa workshop manuals are notoriously non existent and the website is useless. Has anyone pulled one apart before to do this repair? It's propably fairly straight forward but without a manual any advice w…
