Scorpa

Hi Everyone New to trials what bike do I go for are they all as good as each other? (keep in mind i used to ride motox cross but it was many years ago) Ive spoken with one guy who says for a novice 250 Scorpa all the way, that said he does have a Scorpa. Are all the other models just as good or better and what are the most reliable makes? All advice is welcome. Cheers

I have heard of a couple of things available for the 175f, a big bore kit, not sure if you can get these for the 160 or not???? I have also heard there is a little black box (CDI I'm guessing) that will give it n extra 2000rpm. has anyone done/know of these mods? what difference do they make? how much do they cost?

Hey everyone, i have had offers to ride both a Scorpa and a Sherco, the deal with the Scorpa will end up bein better for me. however i have ridden sherco since i started and am wondering wether people think the 08' sy 250 is a good bike??

Is any one using anything other than stock? What brake pads?

Hi just wonder if anyone can help. I had the scorpa 98 easy out the other day. all was going well and had a good couple of hours ride. when she overheated. I let her cool down and returned to the van. The fan works all the time when the bike is running but it just seemed like a head gasket or O ring had gone. with the behaviour of the bike. Any one have any ideas what this could be before I strip off the barrel etc. Cheers Richie

Hi, my easy 97 is running a dream, only problem is that on a hot day it overheats due to the fan not being wired. we have the yellow wire from the stator which produces an ac current, which ranges from 10v at idle and over 200v when revved. been looking for a voltage regulator but can only find a small black box which i don't understand. Its taken a few months but all the bits are back together and all is well, started no problem with the fuel that was still in the tank but now need to fill her up. Any suggestions on a good fuel mix for novice use and general pottering about?

Hi,my mate has just cracked one side of the bottom yoke on an '07 SY250,on removal of said item,there is a clear casting fault,anyone else heard of this problem?Cheers.Pat

Help!!! Tried to change the gearbox oil on my 07 SY250R yesterday and the sump-plug has rounded off and now I can't shift it . Any ideas on how to overcome will be much appreciated.

My SY250 exhaust has gradually become noisier. I guess this is because the packing has been lost in the rear box. Is there anything that can be done except replacement? Also is there a repackable item available?

I'll soon be getting my new bike after a two year layoff. I'm pretty excited to get back into it. I was a little burned out after helping to keep a club going and hitting it hard for twenty years, but I'll admit it...I REALLY MISS IT! hi all, As I have said before I have managed to get an enrty for the ssdt. Now I need to make my bike road legal, so has anyone out there got a speedo and drive unit that will fit an07 175F? I have tried the little digital ones from halfords but the all need the magnet to be mounted within 5mm of the sensor! I cant work out how to mout it so it will work properly... also anyone any idea on where to get a horn, battery powered or something like that????? Cheers

The splines on my mates 2000 scorpa are shot and needs replacing can this be done without busting the whole engine, all i know about is fantics so dont have a clue on this. And does anyone know a price for the part at a guess.?

How is this bike, are parts available, can i buy a long ride tank, and what do i look out for? I just purchased a 2 month old 07 Scorpa SY 250R (race version not U.K. version.)and Im looking for any performance mods and any Tips at all. Im told the timing is advanced from factory. Im told to go to a mainjet #132.5 for better midrange.The stock plug is a Champion.What feedback can you guys give me on the bike. It was between this bike and a 07 Sherco 290 so I thought I would try the Scorpa. ALL FEEDBACK WELCOME.

Hi all, I have an 05 sy250. Went out on it yesterday for first time after buying it and had a lovely day. Bike worked well all day then hosed it down and now nothing. There is a spark some fuel is getting through, not sure how much should be comming through when put hand over barrel. Went through stream quite abit bit not to deep. Any info would be very helpful asd I think the bike is lovely to ride. Steve

So the Scorpa manual recommends Champion spark plugs, with a gap of 0.7 to 0.85. However my 07 scorpa is running an NGK. What is recomended or the norm?
