Well only 10 days into my trials career and the gasgas 280 pro I bought a few weeks ago let me down for the last time (3 times in 3 rides). So I looked at every ad known to man and found a mint condition 2006 sy 250 fully registered and even taxed. I have had 1 brief shot and although it doesn't feel as snappy as my gasgas it certainly feels made like a Jap bike in every department. The suspension fit/finish and the Uber smooth power well seems different class to my crappy 280. Now to get the 280 fixed up and move it on.

How wide is the bash plate on an SY250? it looks very wide in photos of the bike. My Gas Gas Pro bash plate is about 200mm wide and Fantic 240 is about 250mm wide, is the Scorpa any wider?

Hi there , Thinking about getting a Scorpa 175/200cc 4 smoke , Dont want to ride our top grade any more due to no time to practise , But riding the next grade down on the Gas Gas I have now, is to easy & no challenge , So are looking at getting a Scorp 175cc to have more of a challenge , Can any one out there tell me , (Will the clutch hold out) , Or will the clutch just get hot and start creaping due to the slipping of the clutch to get up a rock/etc , Thanks for any help .

Hi, my name is chris and i am new to trials. I purchased a 1997 scorpa easy 250, i was out riding and suddenly it stopped. We took out the plug and there was no spark. We took it home and had another look, now there was a spark but it wouldn't run, we replaced the ht leat, cap and plug, bit better spark but still no running. We sent it to the local trials shop , and they checked the woodruff key and it was ok. That left us with the cdi/coil unit, the analouge controller and the stator, we removed the analouge controller but it still wouldn't run. we then priced up the parts. The "rotax man" said the cdi was

The new '08 Yamaha WR250R dual sport bike and WR250X supermoto bike have fuel injection for their four-valve, liquid-cooled DOHC motors. Could this be a peek at the '09 Scorpa F powerplant? http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products...0/features.aspx http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products...0/features.aspx

Just gotten back into trials riding, have bought a Scorpa 02' sy250 and a Montesa 03' 315r. Both bikes are worlds ahead of the old trials bikes I have ridden in the past, but I expected more power out of both, the Scorpa especially seems to have less off the bottom. Just wondering if these are standard traits or should I be looking for problems?

ACE!! really cant wait ive always wanted to get into this sport and after a fairly decent injury in trail riding i thought i would try something ever so slightly closer to the ground as far as i know the bike is bog standard and have been told that its done 2 trials and a bit of practice work. fingers crossed its as good as it looks on the pics (like new) have i made the right choice of bike?? my brother has a beta rev3 which i had a quick go on but it looks old compaired to the sy. as far as ican tell they get a good following but not…

Hi. First off the bike has the keihlins carb which i beleive is standard for the 97. It has the standard exhaust and air filter. When i got the bike it had been stood for a long while. It ran fine and ticked over well until i leant it over or went down a steep incline, then it wanted to stall and needed plenty of sluggish throttle to keep it going. I dropped the float height 2mm and that sorted the bogging problem out but i think its still a bit rich. When I stripped the carb to clean it, I noticed that it is fitted with a 102 main jet and the needle has the clip in the top groove instead of the second one down (as per the info i have for the carb). I thought that t…

I have the origin adjustement : pilot jet :#38, needle : third notch (i hope it's the good word) I have changed the main jet (#145) to a #135. The air screw set is at the origin adjustement. Hi. Ive just been for a ride round an old quarry and after 1/2 an hour I noticed a rattle. I stopped the engine and started looking for something loose. to my surprise I found that its coming from something metal rattling about in the front part of the exhaust. I can hear it when I knock on it or bang it with my hand. The bike still runs fine and sounds the same. I thought that expansion chambers were empty!! So, has anyone got any idea what I will find when I take it apart? What could it be??? Im confused. (it doesn't take much) Marcus
