i have a scorpa easy 96 250. could somebody help me i need to know how many turns the mixture screw needs windin out. aloso how many turns the tickover screw needs windin out? many thank!!!

Recently I had a thread going regarding a problem I was having with my 06 SY250. After months of frustration I eventually had to find the problem for myself and traced it to be a faulty CDI and Rectifier. Having put new ones on, the bike ran better than ever for the three trials I have done on it since. However, 2 days ago I went out for a ride and the problem appears to have come back. I ran the bike for an hour and a half and the fan was cutting in within 20 minutes of riding, so it was warm. The bike wont rev past half throttle. Its like 4 stroking at the top end. My '01 SY250 front wheel has gotten a bit bent and wobbly and the spokes are pretty well rusted in place. Are the rims/spokes unique Scorpa parts or are there Yamaha or aftermarket equivalents? I've searched the web a bit but have come up empty handed. Thanks, Greg

i,m looking for an older less expensive trials bike just as a hobby bike with the odd competition outing,and just want to know if the early rotax engined scorpa was or is any good,and any obvious bad points to look out for when viewing one.i come from a mx background and know very little about trials bikes so any advice would be appreciated.although it says in my identity that i have a 315 montesa this was bought and sold as a non runner and turned into a very expensive mistake which i am keen to avoid a repeat of.

hello there, is there a way to have less dumped front fork on the scorpa 125 4T? (I mean the paioli standard, not the settable one) I need a bit faster rebound. Maybe I could change the fork oil? how could it be done? Thanks

First off Happy New Year to all. Anyway, has anyone replaced thier chain tensioner guide on a 125 TYS with a stronger unit, as I bent mine in a trial today and the chain came off, and speaking to a mate he had the same problem at some time. On inspection they dont look the sturdiest bits of kit. Luckily I was able to straighten it out and get the chain on and a boot full of water at the same time in the stream . Thanks in advance.

Had a ride on the 175 f scorpa at the bvm test day What a really good bike it is my only complaint with the little 125 was its lack of big hill power the 175 was in my opinion more than powerfull enough for the average clubman rider if i was not as happy with the monty it would be top of my shopping list

Hi, Have some questions about pipe for Scorpa 2-s. Ref. to a bike I saw, guess model 2001-2002 lighter blue than 2005, it was equiped with a nice pipe, stainless MX-like expansion chamber. A pipe not at all like these for GasGas or Beta. Could it have been a stock pipe? Or did someone offered kit pipes for Scorpa? Cheers, Pat

I own an 06 Scorpa SY 250 which has had very little use. When riding in the woods today It cut out and would not start again. When it tried to run it would not rev and would backfire then stop. I had been riding in a very shallow stream during the ride out. When i got home, I took off the petrol tank and removed the air filter to check it. The bike started first kick and ticked over fine. Maybe someone could help with the following. 1) Would I be right in thinking that it was an electrical problem caused by water if so what can i do stop it happening again. 2) I also noticed that my coolant level dropped. Is this normal after a few hours of riding or could the head gas…

hi just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on my scorpa easy, think it 99 model. The bike starts perfectly 1st time but, after about 10 minutes of use will cut out, it kicks straight back up but will just keep cutting out ever 3 or 4 minutes after but, like i said kicks right back up every time. Any adivce would be GREAT!!!! thanks

does any other scorpa rider get this,never had this on my sherco.the clutch is not hard to pull it just seems that i get pumping in the forearm after tuff section.i have noticed that the res is a lot smaller than on other bikes.or is it me being a big girls blouse.

hi its a scorpa works 94 year tryed every thing to get it to start there is a spark fuel is getting in but just seems to flood the plug i have cleaned the carb even tryed easy start in it no good took fly wheel off lot of crap in there clened it out any body got any ideas its not my bike its a mates cheers

Hi all, i have just treated myselfe to an 06 scorpa sy 250, The problem is that i need more power from it, i am used to riding a TYZ that was breathed on by Nigel Birrket and that must be 50% more powerful in every way than the scorpa, dont get me wrong if you have poor throttle control the scorpa is the bike for you because it just bogs through the section, i am thinking of swapping the barrel and piston from the TYZ, but i dont want to do this if there is an easier option "jetting,timing etc", So if anyone out there can help i would be very grateful. i've have had my 06 scopra for just 6 weeks and the mudgaurd and tank paint job is crap the paint is coming off on the both of them.it is a great bike i love the ride it gives me,it even makes me look better than i am.but why have they used paint on the plastics.my heart bleeds to see this,and i guess they a'int cheap to replace.
