Hello Im trying to find a set of black goneli fenders. I have seen them available in Europe but i cant seem to find them in the united states, does anybody know where i can find them in the U.S.? Thank You.

Can anyone tell me the theory/reasons why longer swingarms are said to give more grip?

Is it possible that the grip on modern trials bikes is wildly superior to my 247? I'm WAY out of practice, and was never too good to begin with....but this 247 has a brand new pair of Dunlops and I was slipping ALL OVER...in every situation...going across gentle hillsides the front tire was washing out...everything. Was my Sherco really THAT much better?

Up to now, I've got away with using a Beta (orange, as in tool company) filter strap wrench to hold flywheels in place but in attempting to remove my flywheel from my Transalp on the weekend (not been off for 22 years), I broke it. I eventually achieved the desired result of removing the flywheel bolt with the use of a 1p coin. However, I've seen proper, heavy duty, metal band flywheel strap wrenches (i remember my old REV3 flywheel being jammed on with one), however can't find them for sale in the UK ? Anyone ?

I rode a friend's 348 Cota in an event this past weekend. The last time I rode a 325 Sherpa T was probably about 1976 when I sold my 1974 bike. Keeping in mind that I'm trying to remember back 30 years, it seems like the Cota didn't have as much flywheel mass as the Bultaco. IIRC the Bultaco would plonk along at dead slow in second gear with no problems as the heavy flywheels would keep it going without a lot of attention from me. The Cota seemed happier in first gear at those kind of speeds. If anyone has experience with both bikes I'd be interested to hear what they think about which one had the heavier flywheels. cheers, Michael

Hi folks, I am using longer shocks on my Ossa MAR. They give me more ground clearance and make turning easier, but they raise the pegs up as well. I was thinking about lowering my pegs. Just wanted some feedback on that idea. Thought it might bring my center of gravity down a bit. I put some aftermaket pegs on that are wider and have a lot of grip. These pegs ended up being higher than the stock ones which doesn't feel comfortable. Just thought lowering them even more might be better. I'm not that tall, but I feel like I'm too high and bending too much to get to the bars. Just an experiment over the winter. And I'm going to leave the stock mounts where they are and make n…

Aftermarket footpeg location brackets and do it yourself footpeg relocating certainly is popular on vintage bikes currently used in competition. In general, how or what criteria determines the best footpeg front to rear location? Is the lowest possible position that kerps the fert safe best? While researching this, one company mentioned that going rearward with footpeg mounts is not always a benefit, it can reduce weight on the front tire and creates steering issues. Being specific, we will be modifying the setup on my riding buddies 72 OSSA MAR. The internet has many photos of these machines with footpegs anywhere from stock to 50mm x 50mm down. …

Hi I am rebuilding a bultaco sherpa 250 with a view to having a go at twinshocking so am keeping it as original as possible but fitting it with practical bits as well. My question is i have just got some weld on big footrests from Dave Renhams to fit before i respray the frame and want to know if they should be fitted in the same position as the original puny items or is there a modification that would benefit the bike and me?ie upwards or backwards slightly? Hi to all, Now i`ve got the bike to go forward and stop reasonably well, I find that a mod that I will benifit from is New Footrests/pegs. Simply I need something that will just bolt on to the exsisting lug. Not able to even saw or angle-grind the lugs off is there a quick fix simple footpegs that anyone can recommend? The other factor to me is i`ve got size 11 boots and the original pegs are so small, hope to find pegs that have a larger platform if that is the word? Seen some on ebay and race-spec catalogue (2004) around

Well am new to all this forum stuff, so hear goes, I found a old Armstrong 320 frame in the garage the head stock has broken at some point and had been welded up (not a good job) so have decided to remove the lower tube and alter the angle of the forks to give a more modern riding style with better steering. Not to sure if to copy the beta rev 3 angle or just bring in few degrees also whot is the best way to weld the frame Thanks.

Can anybody advise me on somebody to strip my forks, re-chrome and plastic coat the sliders as well as do a spot of welding, (where the tension bar bolts to the slider, this has been snapped at some point in the bikes past and bodged). Gaff.

Reading other post the normal thing to do to a Pre 65 bike is to fit more modern internals into the front forks, has anyone tried fitting modern internals into there twinshocks forks, or is it that modern forks are just so much thicker? I've got a TY 175 that could seriously do with something doing with the front forks, i was thinking of perhaps putting some more modern springs into it any ideas what might fit?

Fancy doing something a bit different, I've seen a pic of a fourstroke engine in what looked like a TY twinshock frame, lovely looking machine. I understand you can buy Chinese engines (Honda copys) off John Bliss for right money, I've heard one of these engines running and it did sound very sweet. Been looking on the www trying to find some info / photos of Fox rear shocks to fit my bultaco, think they use to make shocks for trials bikes ? If you know of any links that could help then please post them below Any info / or photos so i know what to look for or were to look would be a really big help and i would be very great full for your time. Have been riding mountain bikes for the last 25 years and as soon as Fox started making mountain bike shocks they were so much better than the rest of the stuff on the market they cost a bit more, you got so much more performance for your money. I've dragged the old units out the spares box and wonder if anyone can recall what pressure they should be pumped to. I did read somewhere that 200 psi was the figure but that seems more like that for air spring units and i certainly don't think my local Fox dealer had the equipment to pump or measure to that sort of pressure when he set them. I may have had a manual but that will be long gone. Any advice appreciated.
