I sent a press release into Patrick's hometown newspaper called the Elkhorn Independent. The editor seemed mildly interested in this good news story. I was hoping those in the trials community both national and worldwide could give a letter to the editor shout-out for Patrick and how proud they should be for his accomplishments. Entries are down in the World E bike category in the Holland World GP. Congratulatios are due to Albert Cabestaney who rode an excellent event. Anyway, there were bikes entered from three manufacturers. However none of those machine/makes are currently available to buy, even though two of them have been advertised with invitations to place an order for over a year. So the missing make is Electric Motion, which sell the only electric bikes on the trials market. Indeed EM has just announced their new 2020 range topped by the E Pure Race model which features both a full blown hydraulic clutch and a flywheel to match. Great trial on Sunday and as ever some unbelievable skills on display. Ok perhaps a bit early... But that time is approaching when we start to wonder who will be moving seats and riding for what team in which championship class??? So What's everyones rumour, geusse, or just plain wish list?

Information released on Thursday by ACU "It is with regret that the ACU have to announce that the British Round of the FIM Trial GP scheduled for 9/10th October in Tong, will not now take place. An unfortunate combination of circumstances have led to this decision, but it is hoped that 2022 will allow for a round to be run once again." I wonder what the "unfortunate combination of circumstances" might have been? Is Covid still having an impact? In my opinion the wording used does not come across as very professional as one would expect there are plans B, C etc to cope with unexpected eventualities. Following on from the story in T&MX, it made interesting reading and a little sense. To re-iterate the facts: It's meant to be a world championship, open to 6 riders Four of which are Spanish, one Brit, one Jap!! No disrespect to the Spanish boys for being good, but it's not exactly a global field And is it really trials riding or is it a 'show' if it's a 'show' should it be a world championship?
