UK Trials Talk

Any trials on 10th 11th or 12th April in Lochaber area? Holidaying then and may need light releif from wife / 3 daughters / aunt.

i think it was around 2 years ago since i sold my last bike and have always missed a sunday meet since recently ive been looking for a used bike to get back out riding and for some reason the bikes i was riding and selling on to upgrade ect are worth nearly twice they were 2 years ago i mean im seeing 15 year old shercos priced ar over £2000 i remember selling a 05 sherco 250 in 2010 for £1200 and i had a 2012 gasgas 280 and in 2016 sold it for £1900 so how come now id need to part with almost £3000 for the same bike ? that is just to name a couple of examples what have i missed? lol

Has anyone out there noticed what this young star has been doing recently, his results speak for themselfs. He can be world class if someone gets behind him. The British youth trials championships has produced this great young rider that we can all be proud of, go on my son kick ass,and i hope you get all the help you need.

For those that do the nationals all over the country it can be a bloody long drive home sometimes on a Sunday evening, we normaly listen to the top 40 show and then start listening to CD,s but what do people listen to ? We have had many CD,s over the years like Pink Floyd & Genisis etc, but the current most played seems to be Deleriums Albums called Chimera, or Karma. Having "suffered" at the Indoor trial seats and spacing that would make Ryanair blush, I can only hope the Leeds Arena is better. My Legs and back have only just recovered from the "crush" that is Sheffield. Are Other's better than Sheffield???

Having just studied the Scott analysis and stats posted by Andy (great coverage Andy cheers ) I must congratulate Graham on his winning ride as sixteen marks lost on observation is really remarkable.Having ridden the Scott myself some years ago I have the upmost respect for anybody just finishing the trial not to mention winning it! I know it is impossible and wrong to compare modern day trials with those of years ago but while the Scott is still fresh in the air I thought I would post this set of results from 1962 as 'Sammys' win at the time was widely regarded as one of the greatest wins of all time. Now that rules and format of this year British Champ have been sorted I thought as C of C for one of the rounds this year I would see what sort of sections riders actually like. At last years event we tried to keep sections flowing and rideable without too much balancing and hopping as we where a little uncertain of how the time issue was going to work. With this experience under our belts we could drift into making the section tighter and a little more extreme. But is this what is wanted ? I think one of the sectons that was cleaned least last year was a muddy bank that looked more like a clubman route! The 6 foot steps wher cleaned more often especially by the top rid…

Off south for some trialing action! Riding with Guisbourgh at Charltons on the 7th then on to the Jersey two day trial on the 13/14th. Will I see anyone else at any of these trials?

hi im new to this site and only a begginer at trials riding im 28 today omg lol and am looking to find a little info for tracks in the west yorkshire area or where there is a little meeting so i can watch and pick a few tips and tricks up im from pontefract the only place ive taken my bike was to the pimp at wentbridge if anyone knows it any help will be very much appriciated lee

The Jack Wood trial is a trial where a later riding number is of some advantage. Of the last 20 riders, numbers 136 to 156 inclusive, 18 of the bikes were of one make. This clustering occurred nowhere else in the entry by a large margin. Included in the 18 bikes were the team manager and team mechanic respectively together with their sponsored riders. The particular make of bike is popular in South Yorkshire so one could make too much of this grouping. However it does look rather odd from an outsiders point of view, especially one who prays towards Harrogate!

Picture this me been at work all day thinking "great get home telly on watch sheffield result!!!" what happens them usless b*&$ards at eurosport stick snooker on now i like watching that but when you missed sheffield cos of other commitments its just not the same. Have looked on sky planner and its listing it onwed 25th at 4pm ch411 but dont hold your breath!!

We have hosted two Championship events with different venues. "the Mound" big steps etc., Sections at The Ice Factor a more traditional type of trial. We would like some feedback from competitors/spectators for the venue of this years trial. Arthur
