  1. Whats your view on this guys??? I ride in the E.Yorks centre, where the debate is simmering nicely. Previously clubs ran with Red/Blue flags, then an easier variation with Yellows. Classes then did either all hard / all easy or a number of sections somewhere inbetween. Now several clubs (of which Middlesbrrough was a pioneer) are running another set of flags - Greens........ Reason....... This allows the Exp some tough Expert only sections, allowing the Inter to drop to the green route (thus not riding the proper easy route). The Greens (we call Clubman A) - get a route just for them & they do not have to ride any full hard route section. The Yellow (we call Cl…

Can someone explain the marking system on the Scott. I have watched videos and noticed several riders in a section at the same time. Are the sections not walked thhrough first and are there more than one observer at each section ie one observer/rider in the section. I am puzzled as to what happens.

  4. I went to the recent Winsford Trial held at the Frodsham at the Alvanley Trials Ground and took quite a lot of photo's with my SLR. It was a nice sunny day so got some pretty good action shots and I'm happy to give them to the club/riders. However I can't find a Winsford club website to offer them the photo's. anyone got a link or club contact e-mail address. The Cheshire & North Wales Centre site lists the Trial results but no contact details.

Aftenoon all. Does anyone have any links to the full results from Saturday? Usually, they publish the finishing times of every finisher, and the section by section analysis? Sad eh, but interesting to a dork!

Hi Guys and Girls, I've been riding on the roads for quite a while now, but have never done much (read: any) off road riding. My father and grandfather were big into their bikes back in the day (my grandfather won the International Six Day Trials back in 1950), and I've always been interested in getting into trials myself. My old man still has his old (pre '65) bike (BSA B40 (ish)), and I'd love to give it a go. The problem is, I have NO idea how to get into the sport. I don't really want to turn up to a competition after having never ridden off road, so where would I go to practice etc.? I live in Swansea (South Wales) but the bike is kept up in Blaenau Gwent (also…

The Hillsborough Christmas Yorkshire Centre Championship Trial is still on tomorrow. We have been up and marked out today, there is a bit of snow on the ground and it is quite icy but we have altered sections and hope to have a good trial. Start is Double D Gates near Ughill 10:30am. 17. After losing our practice area to developers a few years ago, last year after a lot of hard work by a small group of members Milton Buzzards opened their new purpose built trials practice facility in Milton Keynes. As anyone from the surrounding area will know legal practice land is pretty much non existant in this part of the country, and lots of work has been done with tonnes of rocks and logs imported. The ground is being continually worked on to improve it further. If any potential members fancy checking out the new ground Milton Buzzard in association with the Milton Keynes Parks Trust are holding an open day on Saturday 24th March 11am to 2pm. Members will be there …

I have just read the following on another web forum.... Ever been off road? Might not be able to for much longer... I saw a bit about this in a sunday paper, I asked the TRF about it, and it didn't seem like they knew much about it. ut here we go, taken from DEFRA's own website...
