Thinking of buying a small van in the future, just big enough for 1 bike and riding gear. I am 99% sure that you can get a bike in the following vans but wondered if anyone had used one and how easy they are to strap down. Peugeot partner/Ciroen Berlingo, Renault Kangoo, Vw Caddy. Cheers Doogle

Just seen that he passed away on the 1st February. Previously imported Scorpa on the back of a very successful Trials Career he will also be remembered as the co-promoter with Martin Lampkin of the Sheffield Indoor. RIP

Any body who enjoys thier road trials should make a date for the Manchester 17 Hipwell trial. Held on the 18th of September you get a superb two lap trial on sections only used once a year. All sections have observers and its a no messing straight up sections trial on two routes. I usually do the clubman route being an aging over 40 and its an excellant burn round.

This weekend we attended the southern experts trial (non stop) The sections in the clubman expert were well set out and the weather was cold and crisp. Unfortunately this is where the good points end. There was no consistency in the observers what so ever. I witnessed riders clearly stopping and getting away with it and other not so well known riders getting 5s there were many arguments between observers and clippers wether it was a 5 or not. One observer was even heard to say I gave him a 2 because he went backwards !! I watched riders stoping with one foot down and getting a 3 and the next rider doing the same and getting a 5. I no it's hard to observe a non stop tr…

  13. The Government consultation on this closes at the end of the month. A petition has been set up via here http://www.fightvnuk.co.uk/petition.php and there is an update here http://www.mgcc.co.uk/vnuk-an-important-update/ , which seems to be more than the ACU has communicated. The petition needs 10,000 signatures to get a response from the Government and 100,000 to be considered for a debate in Parliament. It currently has just over 12,000 so will get a "response" but the numbers are hardly likely to persuade MPs that this is an important issue. There are petitions on the site that have absolutely no chance of success but still attract around half a million signatur…

I have just seen the results of the North Lancs Angela Redford Trial, a round of the Normandale Traditional Trials Championship. Looking at the results this would appear to have been a excellent trial with around 160 entries. There were classes for just about every type of machine and category of rider, so why "Guest Riders"? Guest riders are for when you are trying to boost a small entry. The real problem is that this is typical of Trials today, everybody thinks they can ride in everything, sorry lads if you didn't fit any of the classes available in this event then take the hint and find one that did
