Bonjour, Two of us living in France would like to return and ride one of the ACU classic twinshock/pre 65 rounds next year, what vis a vis licences would we need/be avaliable to enable us to do this. Do we also need to join a club or a day membership etc etc..... We are both club members of an afiliated club here and also hold trials licences. When we ride in Spain they have a recipricol type arrangement, allowing us just to pay an entry fee...Is there any chance that may be the case here. Cheers in advance.

I have just been informed that the Southern Centre has handed over 50k of its member’s money to the ACU. This has something to do with a claim against the Southern Centre and the ACU. What I find hard to come to terms with is the fact, that if the southern centre was not sitting on 80k in it’s accounts then what would the ACU have done.

Just tried calling the ACU to see where my licence is and it appears they're closed between Christmas and New Year. Can any one tell me if my licence number will be the same as last year please?

A good few years ago the ACU brought in rule TSR22a ie: Stop and you get a 1 This was brought about to keep in line with the (at the time )FIM world rules. I now think that it is time the ACU updated the rules in line with the FIM. It is like asking our footballers to play with 2M wide goals and 11 men but when they go to Europe/Worldwide play with 3m wide goals and 21 men. In which other regulated worldwide sport do you see the massive difference in rules? The ACU are under the FIM umbrella so to speak. Let the SSDT, Scott etc run under what ever rules are needed for that type of event, but lets get the grass roots of the sport settled into 1 set of rules.…

The "Latest Events" search on the ACU website for trials does not seem to be working. There is a message saying "There are currently no future events ..." Anyone know why? Thanks

Just completed my clubs first online entry setup using the new ACU Sport 80 system ( The neighbours have probably learnt a few new swearwords 🤬) Its done my head in especially entering info for all the youth classes, does anyone know if all the info I have typed in for this event eg classes etc will be saved in the system making a lot easier when setting up our next competition. I would have asked ACU but I'm still waiting for answers to the email I sent them back at the beginning of January.

Imagine my surprise when I turned to page 22 in the ACU Sportmoto magazine to see Trials Central poster Big John grimacing on his Pre 65. I'm sure I saw that face the last time he bought a round of drinks.

  10. On the 8th June Mansfield Maun Trials hosted their first ACU Training Day of the year. Open to adults and kids the day aims help riders of all abilities, with training provided by some top quality riders from the East Midlands Center. For this event we were lucky enough to be helped by Donna Fox, Jess Bown, Chris Alford and Matt Dixon. A great day was had by all despite the moist conditions!

This has been posted to the front page, but I'm aware folk don't always check that so am cross-posting it here. The ACU get a fair amount of bashing on these forums - I've even been guilty of it myself on occasion! Their Open Trials Forum is your chance to have your say regarding the sport. Full details of the when and where are detailed below. I'd be there myself if I wasn't so far away and had a prior engagement shooting Haggis that day I would like to think, out of the many hundred UK members we have on these forums - plus the hundreds more guests who read these forums, but aren't registered, we can manage the required 10 attendees from here alone. If you can mak…

http://www.keighleynews.co.uk/news/newskei..._thrown_off.php for 20 years we've ridden here never seen an accident never seen racing in the layby but the health and safety boys it must keep them awake at night, i have never seen or seen evidence, of riders leaving the site or riding on the moors adjacent the big fences might have something to do with that. Why cant the council just be honest instead of closing it for our own good.. I've spent the day here midweek watching dougie and big Mart training full transporter the works ( he can ride can that lad) at the weekend sure its busy to busy but surely thats its worth the council should be making provision for more p…
