After reading the latest ACU magazine i was surprised to see who has won it this year. I have nothing against women riders but i don't think the pinhard cup has gone to the right person this year. Sorry but what has Donna Fox actually achieved this year? She was beat in the British Championship, came nowhere in the European and World Championships, never attempted the SSDT or Scott yet she won it ahead of the like of Alexz Wigg and James Dabill who have achieved so much this year. No youth has won the Europeans before yet he just gets dismissed in the back ground. What does everyone else think?

One for the panel. As an observer, I sholud like to have the opinions of others on the scenario below. Rider (often the better ones) gets well off line in a section and puts a foot down. Said rider then spends several moments hauling the bike through 90 degrees and lifting the machine to their favoured position whilst trying to keep their foot in contact with the ground. By the time they set off again their foot has moved through 120 dgrees and is a good 6 - 12 inches from where it origionaly touched the ground. I'm sure the rider will feel he has lost one mark, (new rules) but is that right. I find this applies more to the better riders as they are more likely to …

I was just thinking that of late in our neck of the woods, the common theme of discussion in the paddocks is Enduro. Some riders have already switched and some are considering it. The events are well managed and subscribed to . They do appear to be more costly to enter but it doesn't put people off. So , the question is, is anyone else noticing an exodus from trials to enduro?

Only 2 weeks away. I can't wait. Best trial of the year IMHO. ( Even though Steam Packet make it horrendously expensive, but I wont get into that again) Hoping to get another finishers trophy. (A trophy for just finihing, Brilliant!) Only one I have got a chance of winning. But that doesn't matter. Top trial, and lots of beers on the Saturday night. Who on the forum is riding. Might see you there.

At the St Davids trial on Sunday when Jake fell off and was hurt bad, (think he went to hospital and hope he’s alright ) whilst the observer went to attend to him, the next rider was pushing him to observe his ride regardless of Jake needing urgent attention. The lad was screaming in agony for Christ sake! I felt sickened by the whole affair.. When someone gets hurt, they must become the chief priority and everything else has to come second. This is all because they have to rush round to get finished to avoid time penalties.. Trials of this type must change from being a race to a thing of skill. Have less sections or give more time to complete or something else but c…

I am making a comeback to trials soon on a twinshock. I now live in Gloucester, are there any clubs which run twinshock classes locally? Do I need to wear a crash helmet these days?

if you want to race an enduro or MX event (we're not talking top level circuit racing), as a Clubman or do a 4 day trial as a social or a classic event For a £5000 Trials bike, you will need to lodge a £2000 returnable deposit to cover import and export of your bike for a Sporting Trial Copied from TBM - Trailbike & Enduro Magazine BREXIT - the gift that keeps on giving.... The ACU just now issued a press release that explains how racing motorcycles being taken to European events now need a carnet to travel. And it's the opposite of cheap, check out the following section of the release: "The Auto-Cycle Union has secured a spe…

There must of been a fair few trials under the new rules that have been run including a national. How did you like riding or observing under them. Did they lead to bigger queues, are they easier to ride, is observing easier etc. etc.

New Honds now available 4RT factory £6799 4RT standard £5699 But the real bargain is the 125 CRF motocrosser with electric start at £1,999 Why then can't they do a useful 250 / 300 cc trials bike for around the £3000 mark?

Hi, I have been looking at the forum for a while now, bought a bike and entered a couple of trials but this is my first post for which I hope is not an unfortunate subject. I live in Gloucestershire and the local dealer that has been around for many years, BVM have posted on their on-line shop that the 'site is down for maintenance' for a week now and they also don't answer the phone. Does anyone know their position?
