Just wondering what brand of bikes the Lejeune Bros. will be riding at the Scottish

First time travel from USA to '08 SSDT. Need advice as to where best to stay. Is there a central hotel/headquarters for the event? Also, which airport is best to fly in to? Thanks for any advice.

I have been asked to write an article about a vintage Ariel HT3 that I have that took part in the 1955 SSDT and would love to find out who rode it in that trial. anyone with a 1957 or 1958 program or info that might help and add a personal touch to this article would be very helpful! Did CJB release a DVD of the 2006 SSDT? If so, does anyone know where I can get hold of it? I've got the 2005 DVD, and really enjoyed it. Cheers Martin

Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me what year it was in the late 60s that Martin Lampkin finished in the top 10 at the Scottish on the little Suzuki? And what was his actual placing? thanks

Hope someone can help with this. I was visiting a customer the other day and saw a photo showing someone holding the SSDT trophy. Asked the question and found that it was the chap's father, George C. Wheeler. He won the event sometime in the 1930s but the son doesn't know exactly when, how many times or on what machine. Any help (or additional information) gratefully received. Nick

I can never resist keepin'up with a few of the TC favs for the week of SSDT. Carlos Casas is having a ride! Spot 68! Seems on day 5, TC rider Baldilocks has shed his bananna suit and is just managing to stay ahead of the last Lady rider, Katy Sunter, yet still at a respectable spot of 139 v 141. Just behind is Eddy LeJeune in spot 143! And hard working Mont flogger Billy Craig in spot 162! At this point, If Baldi can maintain his composure and take a win over LeJeune, we may never hear the end of it! Yet at the same time, I fear the 4 piont spread over Katy may not be sufficient to keep the lad from a total PW end to things, as the other girls are out of sight for him!…

Anyone got answers to Dougie Lampkin's rapid fall to the middle of the pack, score? I'm tending to lean towards machine failure, as the Dougie we all know wouldn't breakdown on Day 6. He'd carry the bike through the sections. Who knows, maybe that's what he's doing to pack on those numbers.

On Saturday morning my Dad, Duncan Young a long time member of the Stevenson Club, suffered a Stroke as we were packing up ready to leave at the end of the day. He's okay and was moved from Fort William back to the local hospital in Ayrshire today. I'm really happy to say his condition is improving in leaps and bounds. This post is purely a huge thanks to the members of the trials fraternity who have passed their best wishes and messages of support back to us by phone, email and every other method possible since Saturday. whats this i have just seen on GMT, an investigation in to bird flu in scotland.

I have been given a pewter tankard, found at a car boot sale, bearing the inscription: Scottish Six Days Trial 1949 Won by R.Clayton It has the usual "Haud Forrit" E+DMC logo. Can anyone shed a light on who R. Clayton was and what he won in 1949 (as I can see from the records that he was not the outright winner).

We've had an astonishing amount of last minute cancellations for this year's SSDT, mostly due to injury (you're a careless lot!!), which means that over the past fortnight every rider who contacted us to stay on the late reserve list has got an entry. That's great, but we've had a further four withdrawals today!
