I and my brother walked the 6 miles up to loch eilde cottage for the two subs on wednesday. ( cottage is a bit grand its a semi derelict , mostly derelict building at the far end of the loch probably used by those that dammed the loch in 1916-18) the weather was fine until the first riders arrived. refueling first at the fuel tent manned by two wet desert rats.. At that time the winds were approx. 30mph and the rain was HEAVY. the three observers were huddled in a portable fishing bothy and had two of the easiest sections of the trial to observe. they ran consequteively and were about 40 yards in length total with a rise of 8 -10 feet in total. from my experince the…

Hi, had a great time riding the pre 65 trial, i would like to know if any one got a pic of me at the top of pipe line on saturday, got to with in 20 feet of the end on day 1 and got stuck on a rock, i was no. 64 riding a norton 500t (1947) got the old girl up there on saturday, cheers Gary

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Andy once again this year for providing some outstanding pictures so quickly from Fort William. Its one of the highlights of the year on TC for me. As I've written elsewhere, this weekend coming looks horrible, I'd even say there's a risk of a snow shower higher up on Saturday. HOWEVER........based on the cut out of a chart below the main part of next week is looking better. If this scenario works out it'll improve steadily from Sunday afternoon onwards, the high pressure building from the southwest. The high will continue to build until it kind of stops over the UK. East coast will be crap but the west could have a really good week.
