Hi, folks, I know I've left a post in( 'pre 65), but can't seem to find why I can't join the GRA on their website... nothing happens using their PDF. Can anyone help, or alert them to a problem? Thanks, Gary. FORGET THIS POST ,all sorted now!!!!!

Anyone know if a sidestand from another Yamaha model, (DT1, DT250 etc) could be adapted to fit a TY250 twinshock? Can't seem to find an original one. My bike has the bracket on left hand side.

I recently bought a 1987 Honda Reflex. It is in decent shape with a box containing all the lights and parts. One of the reasons I got it is so my short wife can have a dual sport. All of the current dual sports are too tall for her. This hides the fact that I bought myself a new bike. I am registering it in TN and will bring it back to street legal status while leaving its focus on trials practice (I do not plan to compete any time soon). One of the POs removed the battery so it is running straight off the coil. The headlight does not work (I have not dived very deep into it but a multimeter at the leads does not register anything) and I think it shocked me a couple times…

.... wasn't about the Pre '65 but they're doing some great Christmas offers at Lidl :-)

Hello folks , I’m starting to build a Bantam based Whitton framed bike and was wondering what wheel rimes people are using/recomend ? Also can Reh forks be used ? Seem to have heard that Yorkshire classic events don’t allow them ? Thanks for the replys andy

Anyone planning on riding the new series starting with the Golden Valley Cotswold Cups this year ? A worthy replacement for the Miller rounds, I'm really looking forward to it,a decent set of classes and some excellent, well established trials such as the Sam Cooper and the Greensmiths. A set of road based trials where old bikes can have a day out.

Does anybody know the RAL yellow number(s?) for an 81 320 Majesty tank and frame.

Anybody contemplating a trip to a Spanish or French twinshock/Pre 65 trial next year should really consider doing this two day trial based near Ripoll. Just over the French border an excellent weekend, riding brilliant natural sections, its a long way ( Is Woody home yet ... )but well worth it .. Wack it in your diary or look on Todo classic nearer the date.

Can any body help me please. I have just fitted a wide Tiger Cub swinging arm to a BSA Bushman frame but the bantam hub appears to be too wide to fit. Is the Cub wheel hub and fittings narrower than the Bantam? I always thought they were the same. Or must I get a cub rear wheel? Oldun.

hi all...am new to the classic scene and am in the process of building a bantam trials.Have run into a little snag though.I have purchased a 12 tooth gearbox sprocket but when fitted the chain fouls the shaft seal. have heard it mentioned that there is a recognised mod to solve this.Can anyone point me in the right direction...thanks ian

Hi All Am looking for anyyyyyyyyyy information , pics , details etc etc on my dream bike , a Sammy Miller Hi-Boy framed Bultaco 250 , I was riding the Ossa MAR 250 at the time this machine was launched and always promised myself I'd try to find one before I got too old .... well am nearly that age so the search is on ... any news great greatfully received ! Hi I am new to the forum but have been reading the posts while searching for a sherpa to get myself acquainted with the bikes I have acquired a 1973 sherpa 350, It ticks over and starts fine andI can cruise around the garden on ticover or a little throttle but when I try to give it a 'blast' it just dies I have had the fuel tap out, all ok and the carb apart all looks ok, the pilot jet needing cleaning but I put it back tiogether and the problem is the same. If i tickle the carb with the plunger and then gas it it goes fine so it looks like fuel starvation but i dont knoe where to go next One thing when I unblocked the pilot jet i tried to blow into the hole it came ou…

Does anyone know what the static sag (race sag) should be on the rear shocks of twinshock I’ve put on a few pounds just lately and I seem to be squashing the rear of my bike down quite a lot!

Hi, Just a couple of questions about classic trials events and bike spec. The clutch on my Ossa MAR is heavier than the one on my Ducati, and on Ebay you can buy some really cheap chinese hydraulic clutch kits whihc might bring a solution to the heaviness, would these be allowed in twin shock trials or is it deemed out of keeping? Secondly, as acquired the bike is missing one spoke out of each wheel, can you buy single spokes, if so from where, or would it not be a scrutineering failure? Hi all, does anyone out there in the classic world know where I can get a replica Ariel HT trials frame from. Everyone I have contacted has either stopped making them or put the shutters up for an unspecified time as they are busy. I`m not afraid to pay but I just can find a source. Any help would be appreciated.

.. just been informed by by my "Team Manager" that this Sundays Pre 65 Inter Centre Team Trial at Mow Cop near Stoke has fallen to the foot and mouth outbreak. Apparently, several farmers whose land was to be used could not take the risk of the virus being spread by riders coming up from where the new outbreak has occurred.

Hi Guys For those that where following my previous thread "Bultaco Mechanic Wanted" ... am pleased to say the bike is NOW running and starting second or third kick ! ...wont go into to many details other than heres the final chapter ... but shortened ! 1. Last week the barrel went of to Dave R for a re-bore / new piston etc ...as there was so much wear it would just not run , it was still on its original bore size ! 2. This week and barrel is back + box of more goodies ready for assembly ! 3. Sat / Sunday ... Engine back together ... wiring mocked up to check spark with the new HT coil , its now very fat and blue ! 4. Sun afternoon , all fueled up ready for the big …
