I am off to the Lincolnshire Poachers trial at Wickenby Airfield in the morning and just Googled "Wickenby" to check where it is when I came across this poignant reminder of our recent history. Now just described with a few statistics this airfield is lost in our memory but with Remembrance Sunday just around the corner it seems fitting to remember all those lost in war to give us the freedoms we now enjoy.. ""300 wartime operations were flown from Wickenby with 160 Lancasters and 6 Wellingtons Lost. The memorial at Wickenby commemorates 1,080 aircrew who lost their lives flying from here. From September 1942 to September 1945, "12 Squadron Bomber Command" with …

My SWM has a working decompresser, so far I've been using it as an aid when kicking starting her by engaging whilst kicking thereby making life much easier, also I kick her thru whilst operating the decompressor to prime her when cold, and lastly to stop her. Now I'm fairly sure the decompressor is also there to help on hill decents but I'm not sure why, when and how to use, be grateful for advice. cheers as always for any help

Interesting.. everything about trials.. bikes and the people , are interesting. Some of these older twin shock bikes are as old as me.. how in the world do you guys find parts to keep them going ? Just wondering about? Say I found an older gas gas ? (1999) A 270 to be exact.. will I be able to get parts ? Someone told me it would be difficult.. but, then I see these old classics restored.. They are beautiful 😍 what's strange to me is... Why do I have an opinion? I know what looks/ style of bike I like. I like the looks of the gas gas bikes.. We'll, truthfully.. they all look basically the same to me. Maybe it's because I like to say "Gas Gas" ..?…

That time of the year again, the March Hare is on this Sunday. Really looking forward to it, just hope the weather is kinder this year, the snow was a little harsh last year. Should be a good turn out for the big bikes, just hope the new number plate arrives in time. Anyone else there on the day?

Hi Folks, Hope you don't get tired of me asking these questions. The Bultaco deal fell through. Can someone tell me the difference between a 1972 Ossa MAR and a 1973 Ossa Explorer. They look the same. Are frame geometry, motor and gearing similar to the MAR. Would the 73 Explorer make a good trials bike. And if so, what would I need to change other than tank, seat and sprockets. Thanks folks, Gordon

anyone know of source or substitution for 16210-kj2-000 carb insulator (intake) for my 86 TLR 200? also, is it just me or are the bars too low for my 5'11" 31" inseam body? i have 6" Renthals & feel too bent over - have i just been away from trials too long? my last ride was a 301 FANTIC over ten years ago. i seemed so much more erect - no pun intended : ) dean in tennessee, usa

Does anyone have any personal contact with Bill Beveridge? as he doesn't seem to enjoy communicating via phone calls and emails and I'm getting a bit frustrated to say the least trying to get hold of him. I know that he has a reputation for being slow to deal with stuff. Hopefully someone may be able to help.
