Hi Guy's Now Alan Whitton, is putting together a very special group of Works DOT and Greeves bikes, and riders, for a demonstration ride and photo session, at the Classic Trials Show. The Dot boy's coming along, reads like a part of the sixties trials history, but we could do with a couple more ex Greeves works riders to take part, and "Jonah" was one for a short while. So do you know where he is, he left a message on a trials web site twelve months ago. Regards Charlie.

Hi everyone , I have a BSA B40 GB engine which is nicely fettled now which is currently in my old C15 frame which is very heavy and not ideal as the chain pitch has now changed so the chain is grinding through the swinging arm slipper after a days riding . There was a much larger rear sprocket on the bike as a C 15 but the gearing was no good for the road work . I'm very happy with the current setup thats on the B40 GB motor . I've looked at Faber frames but a good friend has suggested I also look at Bartram frames . I've looked for a contact for Bartram frames but probably looking in the wrong places as usual so thought I would try the forums advice ? If anyone has a con…

I run my shocks with the body on the bottom..the non-sexy orientation....with the decals the right way up. Quite often someone will comment that this is incorrect...had it today at the Dabbers from my mate. He told me that his damping went off after a year, but by turning them upside down they had a new lease of life....but anyone in the Anglian area whom knows the rider of a much much modified white tanked red framed TY175, will also know he maybe tight as a ducks chuff but does know his stuff. So I googled the Betor website and according to their bumpf I'm correct. That said as the gas part is just a pressurised bladder over the oil to stop it foaming. I…

OK, it’s obviously Grimeca, but what did it come from and where can I get pads and seals? It came off my well-used Beta TR35, at least that’s what I think it is after a lot of research. But I can’t find any reference to a 4 piston caliper/mount combo like this on *any* Beta parts list from the 88 to 92 era, at least. It fits my (steel) swingarm like it was made for it. The pistons measure 25 and 22m. Everything is in good shape except for the dust seals, which have completely disintegrated. Short term I can reassemble w/o them, but I’d much having them there, obviously. thanks for any pointers, Sam

Just to make those of us who could not make the event jealous, what bargains (or not) did you manage to turn up? Be careful the missus does not get to read it!

Hi, I have just fitted a Mikuni 26mm carb to my Cota 349. I was originally jetted for a TY200. It will start, eventually, and tick over, initial revs are not good then clears in the mid range to full throttle. Does anyone know the jets and needles etc that should fitted? I did find an old thread but was settings for a 348. Would the same be ok for 349? Many thanks
