As a prospective buyer of the OSSA, I would be really grateful if all you owners could say what you think, is it a good clubmans bike, is it worth the premium over the rest of the 2 strokes and has it been reliable? Thanks

My 2011 tr280i is an awesome bike. The only negatve thing about it is it's reluctance to start as easily as other brands are. It's a lot better with the 9v kit and the proper mapping and tuning, but it's still not as good as it could be imho. Has anyone ever entertained the idea of putting another base gasket in it to lower compression? (i know it would be a lot of work and another tuning session) The motor has power that a world class rider is capable of using.I don't fill those shoes.

Desperately seeking help to getting my 2013 Explorer 280i back up and running. BACKGROUND- while riding and slowly accelerating in 3rd gear bike abruptly losses power and stalls. Checked for spark- ok. Changed spark plug. Stlll no start. Disconnected fuel line and checked fuel flow-ok. So I know I had fuel and fuel pump pressure. So I had to get the bike towed out of the trail. CURRENT DIAGNOSIS- IGNITION- Strong spark visible. If I squirt some fuel into cylinder chamber and reinstall the spark plug, it fires up and runs strong until the fuel burns off so Im assuming the entire ignition circuit is working properly. FUEL PUMP- Pressure is 50 PSI static…

Ok guy's, got a 250 Mar here with leaky fork seal (apparently) and bottoming out alot. On strip down the seals were immaculate with as new edges on the 'scapers' and the dust covers gripped the stanchions good. Stanchions good fit in the sliders, with clean ATF drained from them, though a minimal amount due to leakage. Just guessing here (not my bike) but looks like the oil had got past the seals and then trapped between them and the dust covers....then to the out side world. SOOoooo, would excessive compression tying down on a trailer force the oil past the seals??? or is there some other scenario which would explain how tiptop seals would leak? Any tips…

well solved the clutch slip/kickstart issue, put it all together and started to kick it over when the kickstart went all floppy again. Damn i thought its the springs again but no this time the kickstart knuckle has cracked through so it cant grip!! InMotion have it listed but out of stock, has anyone ever found an alternative that fits, tried all my ductai/benelli ones to no avail, or know of a source of knuckles.

Over the weekend the kick starter on my MAR shot craps and quit working. Pull the side cover off, kick start spring is intact and the shaft rotates freely. No metal in the oil. Just isn't making connection to turn the motor over. Thoughts? Can it be repaired without splitting the cases?

My original IRZ is working just fine and with very low miles I decided to try replace it before wearing it out further. I purchased a Taiwan made OKO kit from Mid-Atlantic trials (I am in the states) and wonder if any of you had gone this route? The tuning seems straight-forward.

Could you help identify which OSSA trials model this is please, frame number B-700~#~ engine number M-700~#~ I initially thought it to be a TR77 250cc but after a google search this model seems to start with a B-72 number designation. Also what is the correct colour, some TR77 models have a black frame & dark green tank, others an all over lighter green frame & tank. It has sloping down rear shocks, lower mounting at the rear end of the swing arm with the upper points a little way down the frame tubes. Full width hubs which as far as I know are the same as those on the MAR. Betor forks, gold anodised wheel rims, the exhaust pipe is longer than on a MAR, it …

Well, just learned of another delay in my Ossa Factory delivery...recall on the main bearing. I'm now on near 3 months delay. So the importer is going to have to uncrate the bikes, repair, recrate, then ship to the dealer. I'm assuming another month or so...assuming the importer gets the parts quickly. So I'm getting a model '14 bike well into the 2015 year...all at a premium price...IF there are no further delays. So... 1. Is The bike worth the wait? 2. Is Ossa healthy financially...seems there have been numerous delays at the factory? The Importer has never made promises...just given me ETA's. Yet Ossa has constantly had issues in manufacturing....not exceed…

During a trial this weekend I noticed a creaking from the clutch mechanism whilst pulling in the lever. It is also heavier and notchier than my mates OSSA clutch. The noise seems to come from the cable, but I worry it might be transmitting up the cable from the clutch arm ?? Will a cable be the answer to my problems, and is there any way to make it lighter than it is ?
