  1. I recently put a new clutch in my factory 300 and it works fine but the lever is spongy as Hell and it feels like crap. I've never had such a hard time bleeding something in my life. It uses mineral oil, I first filled the lower cavity with mineral oil then attached the line so there was no air below that. Next I pulled the cap off of the reservoir and pushed mineral oil with a syringe attached to the cracked bleed nipple until it was half full. This method has always worked for me first go but not now for some reason. I've tried several times now and the clutch lever feels spongy as Hell, not nearly as solid as it was or should be. The clutch engages just fine an…

My son and I recently picked up a great deal on a running riding 74' Ossa MAR 250. Here we will post as we do the restore on it. The progress will be fast as we hope to have it ready for AHRMA at Donner this July. Now the bulk of the work is going to take place starting in June as we are moving at the end of the month and will start once we get in the new place. We will hit it hard for a month and the bike will be like new when done. I have attached a picture and video on the Ossa as it sat about 2 weeks ago.It runs perfect and sounds great. My son just putting it around for a shake down run. Stay tuned and glad I found this forum. Ossa Video of bike putting around

Has anyone yet determined if the Jitsie Ossa tr280 air filter is an addition to the regular filter, or a replacement? I have one and the dual foam filter looks like it could be meant as a replacement. At the very least it should make cleaning of the main filter less frequent as if it acts as a pre-filter it should catch 99% of the crap before it gets to the main. Sunlingkau, I think you also have one, what do you think of it, and do you run it as a pre-filter?

There's not much of an indication in the user manual about the fork preload. Is it the 2 holed rings on the fork? In the book, they talk about a special tool. I suppose this is a tool that is made to be inserted in the holes of the top ring?

Simple question on the rear brake assembly/chain tensioner. Can this be removed with the engine in or is it an engine out job?

Should there be a spacer on both sides of the front wheel? I have just undone the clamp bolts for the spindle and the shocks sprung away from each other.. Are they bent or am I missing a spacer? Pictures of the full set up would be great.

  18. Anyone thought of studding their tyres on their TR-series for some more serious winter fun? I have many frozen lakes around for sliding practice, plus my own garden to play, both are very icy and slippery during the winter. With stock trails tyres it's too much slipping, especially the front end. So I though studding the tyres. Anyone done this on a trails bike? I see many kits around - screw-in type of studs. I guess the problem is the rear since it's tubless (albeit tube can be fit there too I reckon).
