Guys, what main bearings are you using in your OSSA Grippers. The ones i took out are SKF ( OTHER BRANDS ARE AVAILABLE ), 6205 2 RSH . I only ask as i read this in an OSSA manual, bearing in mind its not a manual for the 350 Gripper................. NOTE: The left main bearing (OSSA Part No. 991-141) is slightly different than the right main bearing (OSSA Part No. 991-140). They are essentially the same bearings, but the internal clearance between the balls and races of the left bearing are greater than in the right. Could anyone tell me what fits into the recess on the front exhaust pipe, looks to be some form of o ring. Where can I source one please and what material would it need to be in that hot location. Many thanks all ??

Hi Guys I am rebuilding my OSSA. It never had a rear brake cable when I got it. I have the rear brake cable with the nipple one end and adjuster thread the other. I seem to be missing some parts like a 9mm barrel for the thread to pass through and a nut for adjustment. Can anybody advise? See attached pictures for frame and hub cable fitting points. Hi Guys What are the torque settings for the rear sprocket on a 1976 OSSA MAR?

The Gripper I recently purchased has a length of hydraulic flexible hose connecting the cylindrical exhaust chamber by the swingarm to an original back box. What should it be , I can’t find any images anywhere of what original would be. A pic or two would help guys.

I have researched the site before i get told off. I noted forum posts from 2008 from WOODY, ( TRIED TO SEND YOU A MESSAGE BUT IT WOULDN'T ACCEPT IT !! ) The original colour of yellow is RAL 1018, Zinc yellow, although some people say its to pale. I bought a can of 1018, primed it in grey and sprayed it, they were right a far paler shade than the one its wearing now. On speaking to other people i've been told that it needs a white primer. WOODY in 2008 you recommended, RAL 1021 , can you remember was it a white or grey primer. you used. Has anyone sprayed one up recently with a different opinion or RAL code. Thanks.

Been troubleshooting a no start condition on my 2014 Ossa 250, found a dead aaa battery in easy start box, found broken wires in easy start, after changing battery it started first kick for a couple of days, loaded up went to ride finally got it to start several kicks, ran great good power, next day would not start found that 10 volts out of easy start not getting to control module, found broken red and black wires, fixed breaks still not starting reliably, started using Konrads control writeup and wiring diagram is conduct more detailed testing, I see 9.5 volts on the red wire at rectifier when magnetic lanyard button released, stays for about 40 seconds. Trying to decide if I should part out or fix my 12 280i. Broke the seat and can't find a replacement except 13+ which requires new fender and graphics as well. Also broke a pin in the shift shaft which can be fixed reasonably. Would probably have $600+ in fixing. Everything else is in great condition. what do you guys suggest? how much do you think I could recoup in parts?

Is there anyone in North Yorkshire with a diagnostic cable for an Ossa. I need my Ossa checking out to see if it’s all working as it should !!

I’ve just purchased a Gripper and was wondering if they ever did a Workshop Manual for it, or are all the 350 engines the same bar the fact there’s no Cush drive on the mine. Also seem unable to source a piston at the moment, not taken the barrel off yet so not sure what size I need at present. Anybody got any out there? Thanks.

Desperately seeking help to getting my 2013 Explorer 280i back up and running. BACKGROUND- while riding and slowly accelerating in 3rd gear bike abruptly losses power and stalls. Checked for spark- ok. Changed spark plug. Stlll no start. Disconnected fuel line and checked fuel flow-ok. So I know I had fuel and fuel pump pressure. So I had to get the bike towed out of the trail. CURRENT DIAGNOSIS- IGNITION- Strong spark visible. If I squirt some fuel into cylinder chamber and reinstall the spark plug, it fires up and runs strong until the fuel burns off so Im assuming the entire ignition circuit is working properly. FUEL PUMP- Pressure is 50 PSI static…

I'm about to undertake a full restoration of a Ossa Mar 250 1972 mk1 and I'm needing the paint codes for the white and green if anyone has them please.

Good evening I need to send my Ossa MAR engine complete with head and barrel from Spain to the UK. I have no way of weighing it can anyone tell me what it weighs? also any hints on a good and cheap carrier would be appreciated.

I use F type atf in the gear box, but every year my clutch gets very stuck. Any ideas for getting it unstuck right now and keeping it from sticking each winter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi All, I thought I would share this with you all. I have been looking at various options to repair the stripped threads on my barrel and came across Seager Engineering who were advertising the service for Norton's. They have carried out the repair by machining and installing a bronze insert with a parallel thread. The workmanship is superb and I would highly recommend them. Spoiler

I have fitted sealed bearings in my OSSA MAR mk3 front wheel. Do I need to get felt washers for when I fit the wheel back into the forks? If so where can I get them from? Note: This is a restoration I'm doing and there were no felt washers when I took the wheel apart.

Hello can any 1 tell me the silencer on the TR77 250 dose it need the packing? I cant get into it dose it need to be cut open? I just want to make sure because its not my bike as am doing some work on it cheers.

A friend has imported one of these and there's a chance I might be able to pick it up from him. My riding buddy says the red 303 is a late effort hodge podge of parts and that the transmission is a time bomb. I know very little about these bikes. Is the bike a museum piece? If the tranny is fragile, are there options?
