Got The Helmet ! now need some pants ! any suggestions ? no lycra lol as im almost 50 !!!

Hello, im getting back into the sport, and need a new helmet. When I did trials about 15 years ago I used a shoei tr trials helmet, and it was great, quality design vents that worked etc. Unfortunately I put it on the end of my handlebars when checking out a section, the bike fell off its stand and punched a neat handlebar sized hole through the shell. Anyway my budget wont stretch to another shoei, so ive been looking at the airohs.They look like kryten from red dwarf designed them, but you cant have everythiing I have a few questions for you. Are the liniings removable? I would hope so, but none of the ads really say. 2nd the vents,…

Hi guy's I don't post in this section very often , But I just took shipment of my xmas present to self ... I got myself 2 risk raciing's EZ3 jugs with hose bender nozzles & floor mount boots . I've got no interest in the Co. in anyway shape or form , (same folks market the Lock&load), But these folks are making some cool stuff . Can't wait to use the jugs and mount them to my dedicated bike trailer .... Riskracing.com good stuff . Glenn

Dougies foot injury in the Scott and a similar injury to another rider I know got me thinking. More years ago than I care to admit I hit a boulder hidden in bracken on the Scott. Really hurt my foot, bent the gearlever and footrest. Although my foot went numb I was able to finish, no bones broken and no nails ripped off. I was wearing two pairs of thick socks and old fashioned boots which were much thicker (black) leather than the modern ones. Had I been wearing modern boots which have very thin leather i am sure my foot would have been much worse. Hi all just writing to say after my trials accident few weeks ago, collapsed lung and broken ribs, been looking for some protection after seeing on Internet miss bristow has this to, its a company called forcefield body armour and its the pro shirt Mega for trials has back protector, elbow, shoulder and chest protector nothing like what you would think (motorcross) its a jacket you put on made of material that keeps you cool all protection can be taken out and trials top on top you can move fully easily not bulky at all max movement and flexibility washable to protection in prone areas , after my accident has made me think how easy things can happen I know in trials ten…

Hi I think there's a gap in the market for guys like me. I use my Motesa for trail riding. I've got the fuel tank seat. It's just brilliant, so good at laning in fact, I sold the Exc-f 350 I had because it wasn't getting used. Nothing wrong with the 350 of course, it's just there's 300% more fun to be had on the Mont. I love the protection from my MX helmet, but I wouldn't ride the Mont with it now I have a trials helmet. Issue is that now I use a trials helmet I'm kind of waiting for the 'big one' that rearranges my face! Speeds obviously higher than trials (Mont will happily push 50+mph ). I can't believe the variation in postage cost quoted for products from UK to Australia. I just purchased some trials pants and paid 14 pounds postage where as other suppliers were quoting higher purchase price and up to 28 pounds for postage... I mean they are just pants they are not fragile, or heavy. Then there are the guys who still charge VAT ... buyer beware .. none the less I got a great deal $115 AUD delivered while our Oz suppliers are quoting $220 plus postage for the same product. I do try and support local business but there is a limit to my loyalty.

Hi there , i have used the search function but can't find any info on them. Basically what i am looking for is if anyone has them, has used them ,has seen them, are they tight fitting or not ,as they are not stocked anywhere near me but i like the look of them. I don't want anything tight fitting nor do i want anything baggy so if anyone has any info that would be great.

"Proper" trials clothing (shirt and trousers) is expensive but should be made for the job. So why does mud and chain grease not wash off easily? Does anyone have any cunning methods for keeping their riding gear looking good?

Hi all, as we spend some time doing trials the mx clothing is getting uncomfortable. But beeing middle age, protection is also wishfully. So I am looking for trousers that are comfortable and are suitable with decent knee pads, or are there pants with kneepads built in ? Where we live are not really shops that have some clothing, the sport is pretty small over here. I'm a bit afraid to order tight trousers, my legs barely fit in normal jeans while the waist is not large. (Cyclist)

I intend to ride a club trial in 2019 could I use my 1969 pudding basin helmet as ACU tag still in it or will I have to buy a modern helmet

i managed to put my kickstart through the upper part of my calf on sunday and figure some knee protection would be a good idea, but i cant tell from pics if any have much side protection or are just lycra socks to hold the caps on. cant anyone recommend anything that would offer a bit of protection on the sides, not so much impact more abrasion?

Hi whats best for long distance trials ie carrying a drink & tools for running repairs punctures etc? I have been looking at a camelbak mule are these too big to be carried round for a good few hours? Whats everyone using,what size drink bladder & whats the most practical.Need some tips & what to carry cheers for any replys.

My latest experiment. Read it on-line (so you know it’s true). Spray helmet with vodka after a ride. So far it seems to work. Doesn’t degrade the foam and is readily available. No information yet if expensive vodka works better or if flavored makes for a better smelling helmet. Lemon might be nice.

I need to replace my old Jitsie trousers, which were the nearest l could get to what I wanted at the time. Is it possible to get a reasonably protective trouser these days? I'm not interested in either skin fit lycra or wearing cammo pants. I can live with colour but don't really want large lettering. Thanks.

Are they all tight fitting? I feel a bit of a plank wearing them.

Does anyone wear kidney belts when riding trials ? I always wear one, but I'm beginning to think it's not needed.
