Then the map led will blink very fast and the start will not start I want to know why 9v battery replaced with new one The plug was also replaced with a new one. I used Google Translator

  2. Hi, this is Ryder living in South Korea. During maintenance, I found out that the rear swing arm fixing bolt was cut off. So I want to know if I can separate the side frames. Thank you in advance. It's translated into a translator application, so I understand if there's a wrong sentence.

  4. Started by JBROWN,

Hi can anyone advise how to test this capacitor from a 2016 Vertigo (it’s got the batteryless upgrade). I can use a multimeter and read micro farads etc, I just don’t know the valves I should see (there are 3 pins, nothing written on the unit). Also would this being faulty cause failure to start (definitely no spark) ?

  5. Started by JBROWN,

Hi I’ve just bought a 2016 combat 300 that won’t currently start (bought with an intermittent starting issue). What does the powerbox part number V-0533 do within the ignition system? thanks

  6. 2016 300, with the updated 2018? "battery less" ignition, starts and runs 1st kick when adding a 12 volt source, no spark, no fuel pump without 12 volts added, when running at 1800-2000 rpm its charging at 14.4 volts, just seems to not be creating enough electricity for starting requirements.. Help!

  9. I’ve had my 2017 bike from new and never had any problems - still on the original 9V battery! However, when I got the bike out yesterday for the first ride in a few weeks it would start OK but would not run smoothly. It felt as if it was running very rich, it wouldn’t rev very cleanly and then struggled to tick over. I checked the plug and it was very black. Also quote smoky when it was running. Vertgio UK weren’t sure what it was but clarified that the TPS sensor failure usually makes the bike very lean, so unlikely to be that. Am about to book it into a dealer for a check, but has anybody got any suggestions?

Hi everyone, I've pulled the gear cassette to replace the kick start gears. That's all sorted but I noticed the shift sensor magnet is free to spin on the shift drum. Surely this can't be right? Any help is greatly appreciated. If anyone has a workshop manual it would be ver helpful!

Anyone know if the 2018 Vertical has optional maps on the new Get ecu?

  12. Started by TheWarden,

I have been working on my sons 2018 R3 and having issues getting the kick starter gear reinstalled. I have no doubt the answer is right in front of me but I can’t figure it out. When I install it the Kickstarter won’t spring back. I have looked at it several times and can see how I’m installing it wrong. I have attached a few photos for someone to probably point out the obvious……maybe I’m just tired. Thank you in advance .

Hi there, I'm new to the forum... Been reading a lot of interesting replies in here. I got a 2019 Vertigo 300 4 months ago, fantastic bike... My only dilemma is about fuel economy, the bike is really thirsty... Coming from a 2014 Ossa 300, the Vertigo consumes almost twice as much! Sure, the Vertigo is more powerful than the Ossa, but the speed, riding style and trails/obstacles I use it for are the same. Has anyone else noticed this problem? I usually use the "wet" map, but I notice very little difference between the two... Could that be an issue? Could the "dry" map be more fuel efficent than the "wet" map? Thanks in advance!

Hi all new to this group hopefully someone can figure it out? right I have a vertical r 2019 250 the bike will start and tick over soon as throttle applied bogs out, fitted new tps sensor and recalibrated with Wi-Fi.com still getting the same symptoms I’m 99% sure it’s the tps sensor I have tested the fuel pressure and is all correct! I’m falling out of love with it after spending a arm and a leg troubleshooting the problem? Initially the problem seem to occur after a trip to COWM where the bike was upside down running for no more than 5seconds bike ran all day with the problem occurring as I was going back to the van any help appreciated

  16. Started by the dabster,

Not long purchased my 2020 vertical 250 and noticed it does not like pull from very low revs as the engine seems to bog down and rattle like its got a lean ping. anything above that its clean as a whistle right up to full throttle. Do I need to get access to a tuning box and enrich the mixture of the bottom to eliminate this? Another thing I have noticed is the tick over has gone up of late,, it now idles much higher than it did previously but I haven't changed anything. Can I just turn the tickover down at the screw on the throttle body? Many thanks in advance for any advice.

  17. I have a 2022 Vertigo Nitro Jaime Busto Replica 300 that runs very rough past 1/4 throttle. First 1/4 is pretty good, idle is fine. Did it pretty much from new, bike now has 30 hours on it, and it seems to be getting worse. Past 1/4 throttle it runs very rough, repeated surging and near stalling, but only under light load. Hard acceleration is good, steep uphill is good, 5th gear on flats or slightly downhill is terrible, to the point where it nearly stalls. There's also a spot about 5000 RPM where it just doesn't run cleanly at all, lots of smoke and very rough. This bike has the lithium battery with a different wiring harness from earlier models and a 6 p…

My 2022 Vertigo Nitro JB replica with battery, is extremely difficult to start. As the temperature drops more kicks are required to start it. In the garage at 10c it took 70 kicks to start it. Battery is good 13.3 volts, throttle body just cleaned and mass air flow cleaned, new plug. Took so long I thought it was broken. Suggestions please.

  19. Hi everyone, new to the forum so hopefully I've posted this in the correct place. I'm also new to the Vertigo club and unfortunately, I've had nothing but trouble with it. Initially it had a faulty relay, which prevented the fan coming on, and the bike over heated, boiling off a lot of coolant. I changed all 3 relays just to be on the safe side, problem solved. Ironically, now the fan is on too much. Once the bike gets up to temp, the fan comes on and doesn't turn off - So much so, that I think it's causing the battery to drain. (it's brand new and already down to 2/6 bars) I can probably add 40 - 60ml of coolant after every ride. I must have d…

Hello all, I've just bought a 2024 nitro 300. What spark plug should I run as I was told in my 2018 vertigo to run the hotter BPMR4A rather than the BPMR6A. Do you still need to do this on the newer bikes? Many thanks
