There ya go!! I said it was a good reason to market one straightaway! Already one customer in the wings waiting!
-
Never mind eating your words, what about clearing out your wallet! How much do you want to bet?

I was thinking that to start the new year off in style with the signing of Doug to Beta, should they release a Doug Special Edition early in 2008? Ok, we don't know for sure which bike he is riding in relation to 2t or 4T, but I reckon it would be a good marketing to release one asap.
What do you think?
-
I meant mainland UK obviously
-
I see the dabster, now where is his bike
-
Who could that be then
Cheers Rabie

You need to get the DivX Video Player to watch this. Find it here Clicky Linky Poos
The free download will be fine

Couldn't agree more The WTC was getting to be a Honda Montesa procession and now we have a strange situation, a 7 times outdoor world champion as an underdog. The Beta is certainly a champion worthy machine and with the main man astride it, who knows what may happen
2008 could be the best year for trials for a long time! but saying that, all of a sudden I feel that having no UK WTC next year is a big big disappointment

Sounds pretty spot on to me but I found your comments on noise of most interest. Am I right in saying that without the noise, people would turn away from it?
I certainly remember as a nipper watching Scrambles at Ringwood and my ultimate memories are the smell of Castrol R and the thump of the CCM 4 stroke. If the bikes just went round the course with no noise I'm sure it simply wouldn't have the appeal. Make trials bikes louder (for this sport only of course) and maybe they may be ok ?
Isn't this just gorgeous Andrew Smith

Gone from 11px Tahoma to 12px Verdana. should be back to normal now
-
Yes - there was a fault with the forums Andy & I were sorting out which resulted in Andy having to re-install the sites skin. I now have to re-edit the CSS to put it back to what it was before it was reinstalled . I'm on the case

HA HA. You really suprised me Gaz as I thought a Guy like you in the trade would pick it up in no time. It is easy to set up. The tutorial is easy to follow and the first time I used it, It shocked me when it all worked ok first time. I thought it was going to be much harder.
If you need some help with it then I can help you too. Once you get your head round it you will be asking yourself why you never done it before
The only tricky bit is setting up the MySql Database using phpMyAdmin for the first time.

I was in Dubai 2 months ago and damn it was so hot . Rather you than me !

Now you see what I have to work with eh

I have been using CMS based website engines for around 7 years and they are the dogs danglies. Ross' site and totaltrials site are both using the Seditio engine Found Here. This is a great little free CMS with many features and plugins. I know it very well and could help you out if you want to try it.
The main free CMS these days is Joomla Found Here I have been playing with this on my localhost server on my computer for about 3 months and it is very powerful. Maybe too powerful for the average Joe but nevertheless a good CMS with lots of community support.
With both CMS engines, personalising them will involve modifying some of the core graphics images but its not too hard. Depends on how far you want to go. Ross' site took a fair bit of time with me creating a lot of original graphics and of course the flash header. It's up to you really.
If I can be of help, please let me know.
p.s. You will need a MySql Database too

I'm looking at it now
You wont have the problem if you have 1280 x 800 resolution or higher by the way
-
Of course, down hill with a following wind. . It was great in those days trying to get just a few MPH of a bike. Some achievement it was I thought at the time
Mine was identical to this but had the bigger 14mm Dellorto Picture Link
-
You had an FS1E? - I had a Fantic Super T (with the 6 speed gearbox) - tuned it to get 72 MPH - it was great
-
Anyway, what did he say when you rang him ?
