I do both and motocross is more fun but there is a greater risk of injury .Trials is very skilful and takes a long time to learn and can be frustrating but conversely very satisfying when you get it right .Minor bruises an grazes are normal but you'd be very unlucky to be injured enough to need time off work You can be slow at motorcross and still have fun but if you're poor at trials it's hard work and frustrating till you improve

Looks something special not sure if 4 different maps and 31 hp might be too much though Any news on price looks like a bike for very talented riders with deep pockets

It's not worth the effort,it's never going to be a decent trials bike sorry to p..s on your fireworks

Take the head and barrel off I think it needs a new piston and maybe the barrel re nickasilled

What does the future hold for Jotagas?I like the build quality and the way they ride but I'm a bit concerned if they can survive I realise no one has a crystal ball but what the general opinion about buying one

Montes a 315 at that age and price would be a wiser choice much better made N othing much goes wrong just check for wear and tear

Do air filter every trial gear oil every 6 70/1 oil mixture is fine with a good synthetic oil any more just causes more smoke, it won't wear out more quickly

Just tried Joe90s method works very well and only takes 1/2 hour

You don't need to drill them they're just pushed in you can tap them out with drift of smaller diameter than the pin then tap them back with a small hammer when you refit them

Remove the bars then drift out the pivot pin at the back of the clamp

Can you borrow a coil from another bike and see if it still does it?Is it new enough to still be under warranty?

If it's a Raga it should have a limited edition plaque by the steering head Was it advertised as a Raga ? It doesn't have the Reiger shock or Keihin carb so isn't full Raga spec irrespective of what it left the factory as

Before you start it engage 5th gear pull clutch in and sit astride and rock it backwards ,you'll feel the cluch free Put it back in neutral and start it it won't jump forward Its kinder to the gearbox this way

It should be a lot more powerful than aBeta Techno I'd get a second opinion from a more experienced rider They weren't a bike for an inexperienced rider when new doubt it's better now Unfortunetly it seems like wallet thinning time hard to diagnose it without seeing or hearing it but previous replies sound a good place to start

Can you get it to line up without the front engine bolt? Are there any cracks/flaking paint round the headstock indicating movement to pull the front mount out of line which would go some way to explain why the bash plate doesn't fit as well Can't see how the lower mount could move back that much but the front down tubes could

Should be ok at 45 mph on the road in 6th gear check the sprocket sizes a previous owner may have lowered the gearing All 2t trials bikes smoke for a while on the road it's just oil accumulated in the pipe burning off with the pipe getting hotter It may have never been used on the road so there's years worth of oil in there to clear out I don't feel there's anything to worry about

Nothing wrong with the bike ,well made and rides nice think if it were priced the same as the completion it would sell more Spares delivery is next day these days with internet ordering Main thing is to ride one on some sections before you commit

You've got to get it to spark before anything else

might be possible to get the dents out of the pipe(try a motocross shop )silencer can be repaired by welding a plate to it if it's mechanically sound go for it Don't know about USA prices but it would be a lot less in uk
