  1. I haven't been to watch for a few years as my kids were too young. Had a cracking day yesterday, amazed at John Sunters speed against all the supported riders. Very impressive
  2. Or did you mean John Dickinson
  3. Hydraulic throttle was playing up i think. He has asked for a v6 car engine with weber carbs for next year and cable discs. Not that im assuming where you are going with this question
  4. Its not that expensive really if you compare to the factory replicas from beta sherco and the discontinued gas gas. Best suspension front and back, fuel injection, electric water pump etc. Its a lot for a trials bike but you get a lot less from the other manufacturers for £750 less. Cheaper than a mont ??
  5. As in tomorrow
  6. I couldn't believe id done it but it was a cheap fix
  7. I had my bike apart for a few weeks tidying it up to sell it a couple of years ago. New owner rang and said it keeps cutting out and the fan doesn't work? I had connected the temperature sensor to the kill switch circuit in error so when the bike got warm enough for the fan to start it killed the engine. Have you done the same ?
  8. Dont know for sure but the hose connects to the clutch inspection cover so it must be actuated differently.
  9. baldilocks replied to michael_t's topic in Vertigo
    That would be good
  10. Sorry the original question was do we need hydraulics. I might have missed something here but im pretty sure there is no trials bike fitted with a hydraulic throttle ? So why is this relevant. Last year I owned a pinky yam and a gas gas pro at the same time. No matter what the hydraulic problems i wouldn't swap the gasser for the yam. By the way the Yamaha had a hydraulic disc fitted from 1991. Not a drum, not a cable disc but a Hydraulic Disc. Prior to this both John Shirt and Talon were making aftermarket kits.
  11. Rode as a youth in 82, finished a comfortable last. Dad said i was asleep before he got to the A9
  12. Announcement due Friday
  13. Had this before. It sounds like the allen bolt in the centre is loose, it unwinds until it hits the top hat from the slave cylinder. When you pull the clutch you hold the bolt still and as the shaft is spinning it winds in again or vice versa. Dont use a ball end hex as the head on the bolt is shallow
  14. Aberfeldy as in the Aberfeldy 2 day ? What a trial that was
  15. Thats just a conspiracy theory Timp however Neil Armstrongs lunar lander did have a cable flush toilet.... has this thread finally gone down the pan ?
  16. And i think most of us probably have doubts about your never ending list of friends and their mechanical issues which always seem to back up your view on a topic ?
  17. You can't why should others ? You will have known that this topic would produce exactly this sort of response when you started it. Once again you brought lots of irrelevant information into the topic. My mtb has cable discs, even though the mtb is 55kg lighter they still aren't as good as what's on my gas gas. I love the fact the clutch biting point doesn't change when i turn the bars and i never have to oil the cable. My wifes car has a cable clutch but then again she never splats a six foot step
  18. Anyone got a link for a hydraulic Keihin ?
  19. baldilocks replied to Andy's topic in TRS
Just for clarity i have said it is impressive. All im trying to get across is that if it was rubbish initially they / he wouldn't say so in a video, thats not the same as saying it actually was rubbish at any point. I do have the capacity to be cynical occasionally
  20. Michele Bosi has a new design Beta clutch on his Facebook page
  21. baldilocks replied to Andy's topic in TRS
Can we a bit realistic here. Anyone expecting him to say its rubbish we have been working on it for months ? It is impressive and i hope they sell well but its just pr speak.
  22. Andy can we have an ignore talks ***** button ?
