  1. If the wheels leaving the ground its not going to help with grip, so I would suggest you put the damping back to standard. Its easy enough to hop the rear end with practice, changing the shock to make this happen will damage your riding in other areas. The shock should also have some sag, there is a good guide to suspension set up if you look at the ohlins shock set up information on the SplatShop site, just click the link for the Ohlins Shock. Get a black tube domino throttle, they aren't ramped but you don't really need it to be on a 300 unless you are an expert.
  2. I rode one in the summer at my clubs two day. First day was bone dry, really liked the bike. It didn't feel as good as my gas gas but i couldn't honestly have ridden any better in terms of score. Second day it rained and i found as you say it was very difficult to get grip with. Id fit a slow throttle first, then a flywheel weight. The motor builds revs really quickly so i dont think a low compression head will help. A 26mm dellorto carb may be a better bet to slow down the pickup
  3. Was looking at a friend's bike the other day, both of us have 2014 models. My tank has swelled far enough that its now difficult to get the front bolt in. My friends hasn't but he says he always uses super unleaded, i dont but ill try it and see if it shrinks back
  4. Hi Stephen Holden were the ossa importer before Quinns and had already started selling the Jubilee model. Basically a standard 250 with Fox shocks, Renthal bars and a white tank and seat unit. The fox shocks were quite an improvement. From memory i think all the later bikes came with telesco forks
  5. If you drop the bike on the exhaust side or run it with the mounting bolts loose you can crack the bracket. I think if you have used washers to change the alignment to stop the exhaust hitting the tyre then the exhaust was already bent. You have to remember that the length of the silencer provides leverage against those brackets. Now its fixed use the proper spacer and it should be fine
  6. Make sure you have enough free play at the lever

  12. Friend of mine rang gas gas uk as he was struggling to re fit the clip. They said they don't use them just chuck it.
  13. got to agree that's dull. if you have seen the Diego Bosis video from the 85 SSDT (330 Mont on Fersits top subs) that's a far better video to watch. its doing the rounds on facebook
  14. I live in Brazil, good luck bike theives
  15. Promoting trials at the minute is potentially as useful as launching a half finished bike. Trials needs a clean sheet of paper approach to its world championship and rules. People don't want to hear it but watching trials is very dull, and I like trials ! Stop permitted and timed sections was reasonably exciting depending on the sections but this made the gap in ability enormous. Observing under most current proposals is pretty subjective. I'm all for getting more people to ride but if you took our sport as it is to the dragons den as an idea you wouldn't get very far....
  16. I did spot riders learning to hop on the rear wheel in the early noughties. Please video makers stop, There is no need to demonstrate this skill to me every time you start your bike in front of a camera.
  17. Got pics of my kids with Albert, Toni and Adam at Penrith. They all took the time, good people
  18. Ive gone to Italy, Belgium , Scotland and Andorra to watch world trials, why do people think wales is too far ?
